Motor driver (for Arduino & compatible controller)
All about the Ard releated motor drivers
Here are member endorsed suppliers and testing procedures to ensure your board is working when it is delivered. If you find alternate quality suppliers please help others by making your own reputable supplier recommendation.
There are normally timelines to be met to be eligible for refunds on faulty boards, so it pays to test them on arrival.
You can follow @SeatTime's advise and use an oscilloscope: http://www.xsimulator.net/community...otors-mms-and-arduinos.6948/page-8#post-81280
Or do a bench test with a multimeter before installing, as @SilentChill demonstrates here: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...of-motion-sim-project.8448/page-6#post-111669
@tombo recommends this Monster Moto supplier, though notes that: the MMs are from China so has a long delivering time; Ordered many times, parts always be working: US 11.14: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Dual-VNH2SP3...584?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item485bfc7368
And this Ebay supplier, EUR 9,78: http://www.ebay.de/itm/291515853127?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Normal DX.com is another supplier recommended by @tombo: Shipping time (2-4 weeks); 23,62€; If the listening ended just go to the sellers shop, there will be a new auction: http://www.dx.com/de/p/monster-moto-shield-for-arduino-red-161274#.Va5x10Y0MqI
Another recommended Ebay supplier, this time by @hape, US $9,74: http://www.ebay.de/itm/310780916584
@Vef445 had a good result with 3 MMs ordered from this Ebay supplier, 9,53 USD: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/381256283620
@Pit bought at the end of 2015 from this seller 2 pieces, both are working, the quality of these samples is pretty much better than many units he got from other suppliers earlier http://www.ebay.com/itm/191674295987
- Are you are a complete noob and you defy any wiring experience? (BTW no electronics knowledge is needed)
- Do you hate reading (easy) manuals?
- Are you using 300W or lower powered motors with no plans to expand your system at some point in the future with stronger motors, like DC winch motors?
- Do you have a tendency to rush into jobs?
If you do plan on using MotoMonster and an Arduino (which is a great choice) then please ensure you read, fully understand and follow all of the guides in the FAQs before posting a question:
If you follow all these suggestions then success is guaranteed.
Do not expect community MotoMonster troubleshooting support if you:
- Do not bother to upload videos or pictures clearly showing all wiring.
- Expand your system by using 4 MMs - and you use any wire colors without any logic resulting in spaghetti syndrome (eg. black for "+")
- Ignore troubleshooting advice regarding testing your components and wiring.

@Grigory found there were some code changes needed when using SMC3 code with MODE 4 and Sabertooth to reduce noise, see here for details and modified code: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...nd-windows-utilities.4957/page-54#post-115532
