It is a significant and necessary fix for anyone wanting to try out the V3 Beta.

No need for the update then buddy, its just a reg change and it's only needed if v2 is not already activated.
    Take care!

SimTools v2.5.4 is required for registering SimTools v3 with a v3 license.
    Take care,

So I've got a 270deg pot(left motor) and a 180deg pot(right motor). i still feel the motion being inaccurate and that is obvious , or is it? i need some assistance in this regard. the motion platform works wonderful i have to say. but i need more lol. also i need some assistance with tuning. what's the best to tune on ac ? i drove around LAC track without knocking is that good enough? or should i take a track with the steepest inclines-declines-sharpTurns,etc?also what car is best? a super slow? or super fast?

Odd pots are just complicating matters, as the resolution will be different, preferably swap them out for some quality hall sensors, something with similar specs to these, shop around and you will find some cheaper than these: https://au.element14.com/bi-technol...fs/sensor-hall-0-2v-20v-to-10v-pin/dp/2319662

See the FAQ tuning tips, once you have dialed in a good base motion profile you can easily make variations of it for particular cars and tracks: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

If SimTools v2 is working for you, there is no need to update at all.
All that has changed in v2 is the reg app so it knows v3 licenses for registering.
2.5.5 is the same as 2.5.1 except the reg app.
    Take care!

its been a while since i used simtools. i still have a pro license.. can i install 2.5.5 and apply my key, then install v3, or do i have to install 2.5.1 first and increment?

at the moment my anti virus is trying to clear the 2.5. executables...

You can normally just install the latest SimTools directly over the existing install without issue.
