    I see you are using an arduino with a sabertooth. What sketch are you using? I use this one. You should tune your motors at full voltage. Use the the smc3 tools to adjust pid settings and power levels. I had mine turned up as far as possible at first but I had heat buildup and a jerky ride. Lowering my p and max power to only what was necessary made for a much more comfortable ride and cool motors.
    Center of gravity is also very important for a good tune. I set mine off just enough to always keep everything in tension instead of shifting back and forth from tension to compression. After that I was able to eliminate dead zone and drop I to zero.

    Hi and sorry for the delay. First of all thanks for the advice.
    I use this sketch https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...bertooth-using-simplified-serial-working.136/ and I'm fine apart from the speed problems I've mentioned in the past.
    Sorry for the question :confused: : what are the SMC tools?
    Unfortunately I have some problem of barycentral due to various modifications being made and I am trying to circumvent some gimmicks (eg adding springs ...).
    Tomorrow I should be able to post a couple of new photos with some updates.

    where did you find the plate of steel for the weld? ive not sure what direction to be looking, ive looked at a lot of place and stores but they all have sheets to thin.
