    Hi there.
I have been trying to set up my motion sim with BeamNG.
I am on the latest (as of this post) version - 2.0.3.0.
When I go into the game after patching, I am rendered somewhere below the game map, and am unable to move. I am able to fix this issue in Steam by going to Properties -> Local Files -> Verify integrity.
After that I am able to play the game and things render correctly and I event have motion, but no traction loss.

    I tried:
    - uninstalling the patch and reinstalling.
    - running game mager as admin before enabling the patch.
    - I tried different maps.
    - restarting the game

I am 99% sure the issue is related to the change talked about in this thread here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/beamng-drive-plugin.5806/page-3
And also mentioned in the version update of the actual plugin here:
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/beamng-drive-plugin.113/update?update=762

The one thing that is different about my setup compared to the fix that @knaufinator mentioned is that my install directoy is not located on my C drive, its on a external drive. So I don't know if there might be something file location specific in motionSim.lua or not. I can try moving my install to the C drive but I don't have much space on that drive so it would be better if I didn't have to do that.

    Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

So an update on some other things I have tried:
I moved the install folder to my C drive. Unpatched the plugin. Then installed the plugin again. Opened Game Manager as an admin and Patched to the new location. But I still end up underneath the map when I start the game.
When this happens, and I go into the BeamNg settings -> Other and disable motion then restart the game I am back to normal and spawing on the maps as I should. If I reenable and restart BeamNg I endup under the map again.
If I Go to Steam -> beamng properties -> local files and verify inegrity it fixes it. I can spawn on the map again and I have motion but no traction loss.

@prilad not sure if you might have any suggestions of something else I could try to debug that?
    Thanks a lot!!

I have no idea, the only file it modified was that lua file, ... by supplying a new one that provides the extra data... if the file has changed since this mod released, then there could be an issue... not sure.

either way, I don't have much time these days to tinker on it...

here is the source to the latest version, mod it as you need...

Thanks for the reply, maybe it's something with my setup since I haven't seen anyone else mention this. I will keep messing with it.

I have the same problem of Nicki9. the traction lost doesn't work at all.
I think that some upgrades on game, can create a conflict on .lua file
