Guys what is the difference between a 50:1 and 25:1 worm gear motor?

I was planning on ordering this
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/371596157992?ViewItem=&item=371596157992
but it says that it is a 50:1 motor. I searched some discussion about the difference between the two but I am still confused :( .. They say that a 25:1 is better for a shoulder mounted platform in 2 DOF. Will a 50:1 motor still work :( ?

pgsaw carry both the 25:1 and 50:1, that ratio difference is a trade off between speed (25:1) and torque (50:1) for a given lever length. The 25:1 is more suited to a rig that has a lo of design leverage, like a shoulder mount seat shaker and the 50:1 is a better choice for compact designs that need more torque to drive them. SimCalc can help you get your head around the compromise between design and physics: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...e-linear-speed-and-forces-of-your-design.270/

MMs can be configured in a number of different was and suit 12V motors, see the relevant FAQ section including the warning about faulty cheap clones: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/motor-driver-for-arduino-compatible-controller.11/category
