 my third motor is exclusively for heave and SMC3 UTIL &#039;motor3&#039; only gives 4 or 31 kHz as options. Can I simply edit the file to 15 kHz? &quot;Timer2FreqkHz = 15&quot; And have all motors on 15kHz. Failing that my other option is to swap my least motor stressed to 3 as the heave axis is the one most stressed.<br />

I&#039;ve got an UNO, IBT-2 and a small 12v motor with reduction gearbox and an osepp encoder fitted to motor shaft set up for testing.<br />
I&#039;ve got the encoder into the SMC code and:<br />
-the SMC monitor displays a near perfect overlay of target and feedback<br />
- the motor appears to be in sync but is advancing (or regressing). <br />
It did not behave like this using a pot for feedback so I don&#039;t think the gears are at fault.<br />

I can turn the pot and it displays normal operation on the SMC3 Utility screen, but when the motor turns, it only turns one direction, regardless of what side of the blue target line the pot output is. When the pot value matches the target, the motor stops as expected, but like I mentioned it does not matter which way the pot is turned, the motor only spins in the clockwise...<br />
