Sorry guys, but I have some specific questions and so far haven't found the answers.

    I'm building a 2DOF sim using these motors: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GEAR-MOTOR-...LL-FEED-SIMULATOR-75-80RPM-50-1-/371596157992

They show as 180W at 12V or about 15A rated. I know at stall they can go way high but don't know how high. Don't have mine yet to measure resistance.

I'm using Polulu JRK 12V12 motor controllers and those list 12A continuous with 30A peak. 12V at 30A is 360W. I've seen threads where people have mentioned fusing the outputs so was planning on fusing at probably 25A to try to catch any transients that might blow the JRKs. (Is that a good value to use?)

I'm looking at a pair of Meanwell 600W, 50A, 12V forced air cooled power supplies to run the two motors. Price isn't too steep at about $75 each from Mouser. (http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Mean-Well/SE-600-12)

In your experience, how much headroom do you really need over the Polulu max rated current? I think these would probably be running mostly below half loading and would actually make sure of that as best I could through tuning and mechanics. These supplies are pretty basic and don't have as good of thermal derating or features as the higher power versions, but I think I'd be babying them mostly.

Am I way off on this? If so, what am I missing? I'm good with electronics but don't have much experience in this area so wanted to do a sanity check before ordering. Unfortunately so much of this is new for sizing motors and other hardware and I keep seeing where people have supplies overcurrent and trip. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Noorbeast! I'll get these on the way.
