    Hi,
I would like to know, if a "standard" U-joint from a car is able to carry the weight of approx. 100 kg / 220 lbs?

Do I have to take something special into account, when ordering a U joint for my project ?

    cheers,
    Arazok

A car U-joint will easily carry many times that 100kg load.

Noorbeast, will you please provide some links where I can buy a U-joint for my rig. (In process of gathering parts, will post my process soon)
I've got one from my friend, he is car mechanic but that one seems to be very massive and its actually not a U-joint it is Driveshaft.
    Thanks in advance.

You can buy an old car tailshaft cut it and weld a plate to it, or use a beefy steering shaft U-joint out of something like a Landrover, or as @Stephen Robotham did buy a brand new u-joint and flanges off the likes of ebay or online retailers: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...t-mover-with-traction-loss.11774/#post-153649
