    @flipflop,
Not quite sure what you mean by plugin page, could it be one of these status icons?

This is a notice that you should take a look at the error log.

That makes more sense. Thank you.
Is it caused by an update to a plugin?

Also, it was mentioned sometime ago that plugins were being updated, not just to fix errors but to unify the direction of the motors?
have i understood that correctly? That they may need to be readjusted due to the patches all being unified or standardised so they all work in the same way, I'm assuming giving uniformity for a rig setup to work the same for all future game plugins?

I can not think of any reason why an update would cause a problem, so you may have to look at the error log.
Nearly all problems can now be captured by the error log, so it should let us know what happening.

It would just be the DOF direction, where in some cases surge or another dof may be backwards.
The correct output direction should follow this:
    https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...tools-2-0-api-documentation.9107/#post-116402

I have been busy working on the manual thou, kinda boring, but a needed step to get to a full release.
So for now, its just dirt rally 1 and 2 that have needed dof direction fix.
Traction loss vibe output and udp relay is also being added to all plugins that can use it.
So I think another pass over the plugins is a good idea anyway.
    Take care buddy!

SimTools close itself just after hitting play

I don't know what is happening, just downloaded F1 22 plugin and SimTools just closes after hitting play to F1 22 (playing in steam).

Reinstall SimTools, Steam, F122, even reinstalled windows 10 ... nothing seems to work.

Will appreciate a lot if someone has a solution to this :(

Are you able to 'Test Settings' under interface settings and axis assignments?
Is windows up to date after reinstalling?
Do you get an error message or anything? (like noorbeast mentions above)

Hi, gotta couple issues with iRacing v3.0.

When I start the session my rig goes into jackhammer mode for a few seconds.
When I reset the car into my pit stall I get a strong heave jerk up or down.

Any thoughts on how to mitigate these would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys

SimTools v3.0, Thanos AMC AASD15A, 4 SFX Actuators.
    pitch 20, roll 25, heave 5, sway 10, surge 25, heave-1 25, traction loss 10 (120% total)
    all with 10% smoothing
limiting is at 90% and profile intensity is at 90%
ran 2 laps at 80% to capture min/max

    Hi,
No, no sound nor error message... it just closes.
I've been doing a lot of tests: Change USB cables, change ports, reinstall SimTools, Reinstall windows, reinstall steam, run the game first and then simtools, run the game within simtools by hitting the play button, check/uncheck auto detect option in SimTools, update drivers, deactivate windows defender, test with F1 and Assetto Corsa. Everything with two different computers and the result is the same everytime.
Simtools closes itself 2 sec after the game starts... running out of ideas :(

Yep, everything is up to date... both tests, interface test and the test inside the F1 or Assetto plugin works fine, the sim setup moves with no issue at all... the problem starts when hitting play to the plugin... just closes.

Anyone else running iRacing in v3?
Maybe I could get a bit more feedback on this game...

I think this may be the centering in the amc trying to center while the game starts.
It's been talked about before in this thread.

Is the sim centering, or just a weird jerk?

What do you need to know bud? The one thing we discussed in the past was that heave is on heave-1, be good to have it swapped over to heave. Everything else on the motion side is spot on I believe.
Be good to have more vibe support as only rpm at the mo.

I have a mile long startup checklist with software, motion, transducers, rumble pedals, etc. and keep forgetting to plugin the USB for the AMC. I just have to make sure the amc is plugged in and rig centered before starting SimTools and iRacing. Thank you for the error icon that reminds me :). I'll be able to fully test this Monday night.

The sim is centering very fast. It pretty much reacts the same way regardless if I crash or stop on track. I have park set to 30% in SimTools and like 5% in amc.

yobuddy, great job on Version 3.0 :thumbs

    Hi guys
Please bare with me,I have successfully installed and configured v3.
I get the expected response now from testing.
My question is this,I get no input from the game DCS world.
I have a feeling the game path is wrong.
I use an utility by skatezilla which allows different builds to be chosen also vr or not.
So it's not just a shortcut from the desktop as it were.
Sorry but this is the one part i am really struggling with.
I have enclosed a pic of the app.
I believe this is the issue.
How do I delete any path that is saved in the dcs plugin.
Any help would be greatfully received.
Great upgrade from v2 yobuddy 20230524_212335.jpg

    Well,

I have struggled the last month to try having my DCS installation working with the DSC-plugin for SimTools V3 with no luck. I have now given up and put my hope to have DCS working with my new motion platform on the shelf. As I have told before my DCS installation is the stand alone DCS World Open Beta (updated to the latest version, 2.8). It's NOT the Steam edition. I have no use for the Steam edition, since all my modules are bought for the stand alone version, not for the Steam version.

My motion platform is the NjMotion Compact Evo, which is a 2DOF seat mover. It works fine with the racing SimTools plugins, such as RF2, AC and AC Competizione.

Here is what I did to try to get it work.

    1. Reinstalling SimTools with SimTools PC Repo as the default Interface plugin. This didn't work so well since I didn't get any interface values to pop up in the Interface Setting window. Seems I need to fill in the correct values manually with this Repo plugin. This ended up with no motions at all from the seat mover in the interface testing window.

    2. Reinstalling SimTools with NjMotion Compact R Repo as the default Interface plugin. This gave me all motions available for a 2DOF platform in the interface testing window and correct values in the Interface Setting window.

    3. Using the SimTools PC Repo mode to find and install the DCS plugin directly from inside the SimTool app, Game plugin window. When using the NjMotion Compact R Repo, the DCS plugin is not available from inside the SimTool app, you need to download it from the SimTool internet site and drag and drop the file to the home window in the SimTool app.

    4. Regardless if you install the DCS plugin directly from inside the SimTool app or download the file from the internet site and drag and drop it to the home window in SimTools, you will be asked to specify your current DCS map under your "save game" folder during the installation process. When the process is done, you will have a new DCS banner in your home window in the SimTool app.

    5. Installing the Steam edition of DCS (although I have no use for it as stated above). But just to try if this was the solution. It was not. I even had a massage that game wouldn’t patch when trying to direct the plugin to the Steam edition DCS map in the save game folder.

    6. Have also tried a ridiculus amount of other combinations in setting DCS up with my motion platform that I cant’t write about here because it would take to long and use to much space.

I now have given it up because I’m out of ideas. I also, as Richardamo1, search for feedback on this matter. Instead of having to try a myriads of combinations without luck.

Once again: It’s nothing wrong with my motion platform. It’s working flawlessly ”right out of the box” with the racing sim plugins I have installed in the SimTools app. It’s just the DCS plugin that seems impossible to get working.

    Regards
    Michael Pleym
