Follow the steps here to create and refine your game motion profiles @vsp19: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

And read the other link I posted again, so you understand why SimTools 2.0 has increased the % range of Axis Allocations.

I am very grateful for your help !

I have read a lot, but unfortunately on the basis of different case examples I am very confused and therefore I asked and hoped the developer of SimTools V2 answers these basic operating and adjustment questions.
Because he has programmed it with something.

For me It is unfortunately still not clear what actually this Dot-Regulator actually does on the engine

The output parameter influences the path or the force of the motors - or even something else

If it is the way of the engine, what I can interpret from the read, why I have then still a filter Boundary, which reduced this again ?

I'm sure I'm not alone with my confusion.

    Sorry
I am not someone who prefers trial and error,

but when I have a setting parameter, I would also like to understand how this works and what it does.

An instruction manual from the official side would not be bad

Perusing the manual may help your understanding, there will be some minor differences in SimTools 2.0 but the basics are pretty much the same: http://www.xsimulator.net/simtools-complete-documentation/

    Thanks Noorbeast
I have alred y read this

I have already read this, but to my question gives me this guide also no answer

    Analogy:

For me it is exactly as if someone would say to me:

    Changefront axle setup from 1-150%

Whether I adjust the track, the fall or the caster remains just as unanswered

I’ll attempt to explain since I initially suggested we allow axis allocations to be larger than 100% during the beta testing phase of Simtools2.0.

Simtools1.x allows a maximum of 6 output interfaces but Simtools2.x allows 12. Therefore we can run two different simulators as one so to speak. The best example is a 6dof Stewart platform that also has a g-seat on it. In this case, interfaces 1-6 (Axis1a thru Axis6a) would be used for the Stewart platform and interfaces 7 up to 12 (Axis1b up to Axis6b) would be used for the g-seat (in actuality you could put the g-seat first though). Then what we would do is use the tuning center to adjust the forces to where we want them for our Stewart platform. But we only have one set of tuning numbers, not two. Therefore, in order to tune the g-seat part of the simulator, where we may need to use more or less than the Steward platform uses, we adjust it with axis allocations instead since we don’t have separate tuning numbers for it. As an example, there may be a possibility where we may need to use more than 100% of an axis in order to get the motion we want on the g-seat and therefore why an axis allocation can go up to 150% now.

Hi guy, I was wondering if you knew if simtools 2.0 would fix my issue.

After running for about 15mins my rear left actuators(scn6-100) stops working. all the others continue to work. To fix this I have to power down and then re initialise the software and its good to go again, spoke to my supplier and he said it has safety stop feature and then it might be over loaded. i've gone a diet to try and fix this but I would like to continue eating and still enjoy my sim. any ideas?

    Hi guys, now honestly:

How can anyone, who is not aktive in this forum for months, understand this ?
For a professional program it's to complicated for a beginner.
It should have an "easy" level with already finished presets and an "expert" level to fine-tune this presets.
With SimTools 1.3 all was ok, it was a program for DIYers, who knew about it.

I have compassion with all the people who bought the pro-version and have to beg for answers in this forum.

Any under the hood technical explanation of how 12 axis are driven is going to be a bit complex.

But I would suggest that my original simple observation that for most nothing will really change is pretty accurate, as most are not running a 6DOF rig with the likes of a G-seat: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...-question-and-answer.8175/page-35#post-125741

Presets are fine for sims that are exactly the same, as commercial rigs are. A preset may be a starting point for DIY rigs, but is not ideal or optimised for different rigs.

It is the commercial operators that customers should be hitting up for presets for commercial rigs, as these forums are not defacto support for commercial entities.

Comparatively speaking I don't think SimTools is particularly complex when it comes to motion cuing software. What SimTools 2.0 is now is incredibly flexible with its underlying 'everything is a plugin' architecture.

Most of the members here have English as a mother tongue, and they may not understand how difficult it is for the others to follow.
I have entered the above text into the google translator, and only a bunch of scrap has come out.

By the way, do you know the "Muhlenberg legend" ?
According to this legend, German would almost be the mother tongue in America,

dann würden wir hier jetzt alle in deutsch kommunizieren, das wäre toll, zumindest für uns Deutsche. ;)

JUst for clearing up I'm not a native English speaker. I agree Google translation is not perfect but better than nothing. If we are going to separate our forum into different language sections we will be lost.
Setting up Simtools the first time isn't too much difficult if you follow the manual. SimTools 2 offers a bunch of new features but for standard use it's the same as before.

But I agree that if you SELL a professional version it should at least have its guide and howto packed with it, mother tongue or not.
One should buy a license and never ever open a forum page, it's his right to do that. We're replying hundreds of times to the same questions, and often even members that are here from a long time don't know the answers having not being beta testers. The 150% question is one of those, and it's got an answer only these days

SimTools could have been held from release until a manual is finalised. But it would have been an indeterminate wait for the SimTools 2.0 release if done that way, as those who will eventually complete the manual are just like you, ordinary members with jobs, lives and bills to pay. Members are working on the manual because that leaves the sole SimTools developer @yobuddy free to do exactly what he has been doing in the 4 short weeks since the initial release, working on SimTools 2.1 to fix issues that have been found.

Anyone who wants to wait until a manual is done is welcome to do so. Members who are willing to contribute to creating an updated manual are welcome to do so. Members who want to stick with 1.3 for a year while all this rolls out can choose to do so.

I suspect the majority of members who wanted to try 2.0 have been willing to do so knowing it is a staggered release and that things like the planned companion apps in their first installments will be public beta rather than being totally finished.

IMHO ... As many other Sw that is free to try ... DIYer licence is for beginners and PRO is for more advanced features users .

The manual/help/FAQ of any big SW that can be used with different sims can tell you how to operate it. But can't make you expert in using it unless you use it and come back to others experties and give feed back questions and answers .

the legend you speak of is "urban legend". Deutsch has never and will never be the native tongue in America, but this is a German website.......
Did you know Ben Franklin also created a new written language based on English. It was never adopted. I also wish google translate was just a bit better.
@Blame73 As far as answering the same questions over and over, yes it happens because people are too lazy to read. the info is here in written form from us answering these same questions. All most have to do (not including non English speaking members) is read the threads. No amount of manuals will prevent this laziness.

Wouldn't it have been better to make the beta version of 2.0 accessible to all?
Then it wouldn't have been necessary to release 2.1 four weeks after the first release.

Another question: Why should the members who bought the pro-version write their own manual?
    Strange, isn't it ?

If a buy a product, let's say a car, I don't want to know the story behind it. I just buy the car. You can't then tell me that it's got no ABS and mirrors that will be released one day, but now we're selling the car cause people wanted it.
    Take a look at simtools.us
Where is written that 2.0 comes without a manual (that's being written by other users in their spare time), Game Vibe, Video Ride Player, Video Ride Creator? Not even here in the OP

Anyway, I'm fine with what I have and I'm thankful for what I had for free, I was just putting myself in a new user's shoes who bought a pro license without spending much time on this forum

We could put all the answers to everything in the first post of a thread or make a manual to explain everything perfectly but it would make no difference people would ask questions over and over and over and over even when the answer is staring them in the face they would not see it.

I know I'm going on a bit of a tangent but some prime examples from my build thread considering the amount of pictures/videos and information I have posted I get from people who just can't be arsed reading the thread, comments like:

    upload_2017-2-7_13-30-21.png

the same guy as before I mean WTF ??
    upload_2017-2-7_13-31-16.png

    upload_2017-2-7_13-35-34.png

I think the best one I have seen was on SeatTimes build thread and they asked whether he was using DC motors :grin

Ok get back on track now because this has no relevance to SimTools v2.0 :D
