    Birth of the project:
During the confinement of the coronavirus I could not go to karting. I look in my
attic and I found my old PS2 with the game Gran Tourismo3 !!!
I bought an old Logitech driving force pro for a few € and started playing.
Having a kart and a few pieces lying around in the rig, I decided to improve my gaming experience by making a
    playseat with what drags me.

The old swing has found a new life by turning into a chassis, an old kart tub repaired with fiber, Ikea chair legs
, a few pieces of wood and screws.[IMG]

The distance from the steering wheel and the seat are adjustable with screws so that my children can also play.

By putting myself back in video games I switched to assetto corsa to test the simulation on PC at a lower cost.
Realism and scenery in video games has evolved between PS2 games and current games.

Being in automotive mechanics I can easily have spare parts. So the idea of going 2Dof came to me.
By searching a little on the net, I saw that there was a lot of project with an arduino and window wiper motors.

The idea is to make a 2 DOF simulator with the maximum recovery in order to discover the world of programming.
At first I ask about the components to find:
I already have the arduino, the potentiometers, the front wiper motors of the car, the rods, the steel tube, a universal joint.
I hesitate between the motomonster and the 2x32A sabertooth to drive the motors. For the moment I prefer sabertooth for its
    voltage versatility and high intensity.

I'm going to take advantage of the confinement to order my engine control card. What is the best card?
    - Motomonster
    - Sabertooth
    - Other model

Cheap clone MMs can be hit or miss: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/reputable-monster-moto-suppliers-testing-before-use.158/

Sabertooth is pretty bulletproof, but that comes at a cost.

There are some other options, JRKs are pretty easy to set up, but also a bit pricey.

Members are starting to also experiment with other controllers.

    Some little news:
    Today I got 2 valéo wipers (12v).[IMG]
To carry out my first tests, I ordered inexpensive Moto monsters. If it is successful, I will buy a sabertooth card.

    Thank you for the information.
I modified my 2 motors to isolate them. I keep the 2 speeds to test.
I would follow the tutorial to check that the monster motorcycles are working :thumbs
