    Hi

I purchased a 3dof sim platform through DofReality and am having problems with outputting data from game to the platform. I have the Pro version of SimTools and followed the instructions to the letter. I can move the platform using the output testing, but nothing moves during gaming.

I have tried Project Cars, Live for Speed and No Limits 2 (including adding --Telemetry to the shortcut). I have run at least one circute in game befor patching and the SimTools game manager turns blue indicating thast the game has been detected, but I still dont get movement of the platform.

Here are the screen shots, showing my settings.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? BTW - I have the locale set to United States as per the instructions.

Did you enable UDP-output in PCars game settings?

Can you try start Windows in "Safe mode" and test in the game?

What kind of firewall or antivirus are you use, can you deactivate them for 5-10 min for testing.

Thanks use Avast antivirus software and have tried a few different games to see if the platform will move. I will try disabling Avast to see if that solves the problem.

Can you please verify that the rig moves correctly in Output Testing.

Then it is likely a configuration issue or some other program is interfering.

Just checking, starting with LFS. Did you run it, shut it down, then create a new motion profile for it in the Game List drop down of Axis Assignments, and then patch LFS to its install directory?

I ran LFS and did a lap, I then shut the game down and patched the game with supplied plug in. I did the same for 'No limits' and 'Project cars'. Have I missed something?

It sound like you need to create a new motion profile for each game in the Game List drop down in the Axis Assignments. The LFS plugin should already be listed there, as it is installed by default, and others will be listed there after you install the plugins.

You can choose to use the Default values as the new entry for each game, but ultimately it is best to tweak a motion profile for each game: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

It's got to be a software/driver issue. I tried shutting everything down running in the back ground and Stil no joy. Thanks for the help so far. :thumbs I am now away for a week and will have to try it again when I get back.

Please post pictures for all of your settings, including the Axis Allocations for LFS.

You have to adjust your min max settings in Tuning Centre. They're all '0'.
Use "capture max min" for that.

I have tried capturing max/min settings and I dont get any data. The game plugin already has data if I select the game title.

You won't have Game Output data unless LFS is running and you are on a track, can you please post pictures that include LFS running so we know it works.

Please confirm that Game Manager turns blue when LFS is running.

    Is Avast disabled?

As an aside in your earlier post the Dir settings for Roll are wrong, it should be one checked and the other unchecked, and be the opposite of sway. Sway movement should lean away from a corner.

I suggest you unpatch LFS, shutdown SimTools, run a few laps of LFS then repatch it.

I have attached the default Max/Min file for LFS.
You can drop it into the Plugin Updater to get to better settings for LFS quickly.

Something else to check is the windows firewall, just incase something in there is set to deny communication.
Please try out what noorbeast has suggested above and let us know how it goes buddy.

Thanks for everyone's help. While moving stuff around I accidentally swapped out one of the usb cables I was supplied with for my printer usb cable and everything works.

Strange as in all my years I have never had an issue with a usb cable, I know it was the cable as my printer started acting strangely when connected with cable supplied with the simulator.

Everything is now working, I just need to fine tune everything as movement seems abrupt.
