    G'day,

I am not getting data sent from GameManager to GameEngine between my two PC's when trying to run DCS World.

    GameManager acknowledges GameEngine connection.
    GameManager acknowledges Game Start.
Tuning Center switches to DCS input when put in cockpit, but receives no data. No data sent to the g-seat either.

    My configuration is;
    XSimulator problem.jpg
What type of connection and what port is used for the GameEngine connection? Is it part of the UDP 41230 broadcast? I think not if I have to set the IP to the GameEngine in GameManager.

When I reinstall, Win 7 Firewall doesn't ask or setup gamemanager.exe as a rule and I have to set it manually.

I am hoping that someone would kindly help me fix this problem I am having with this software.

    Cheers.

    Thanks noorbeast!

I have followed closely the many guides to installing XSimulator to the letter... meaning that I have re-installed many times.

Yes, the same plugins have been installed on both pc's.

Ahhh, Thats where they are hiding. I wont be able to do a test for half an hour as I am doing a repair on DCS World. (Restore point broke the update sequence :( )

    Updated. Still no joy.

I've run a UDP listener on port 127.0.0.1:41230 on the gamemanager pc and there is nothing being broadcast. That means the export.lua file is not programmed correctly to transmit data in DCS World. Even though no errors are reported in dcs.log? The plot thickens. And I have to leave it to tomorrow.

Back to basics... Uninstalled and rebooted. Installed full installation on game pc. Made sure that the firewall has accepted the new .exe's. Made sure both programs aren't running and add the dcs plugin. Start game manager, patch it then close it. Start game engine and bring up the tuning center dialog. Start game manager which shows connected. Run dcs and tuning center swithes to dcs and game manager shows game running. Jump into pit after loading. No data in tuning center??????? Close DCS and check dcs.log. No errors with export.lua to stop it from executing. How can this not work?

Just to be clear, did you reinstall SimTools and DCS plugin on both PCs? It reads like you did it just on the game PC.

Have you tested something else, say LFS, so you can exclude SimTools install/setup being the issue?

Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled just to the single game pc. Trying to cut out any network problems. Manager and engine are talking but no UDP comms between DCS and manager. Today I uninstalled and reinstalled on the two pc's. I set up engine better and got the DOF Output working. Again Manager and engine are talking but the is no UDP comms on 41230 between DCS and manager. I dont suppose there is an easy way of changing the UDP port to another one.

Great idea. I will post how it goes.

Installed LFS. Ran it a few times to get the controls sorted and see how the cars handle. Ran pluginupdater on both PC's. Patched GameManager. Ran GameEngine and checked that the outputs were working. Ran GameManager. Started LFS and drove out from pit lane. Still no telemetry??

Does LFS work on a single PC?

Can you please post screenshots of all of your settings.

Finally got some data transmitting on the single PC setup after full installation! Got it working on these settings as per the two pics below. With both LFS AND DCS! Com8 is present on the PC but not an Arduino controller. The [A<Axis1>][B<Axis2>] and [A<Axis3>][B<Axis3>] for the interface does not work [Edit: yes it does for SMC3 when the comms is working], nor having the DOF settings as per my pic above. I will eventually need to find out what syntax I need. [Edit: yes it does when the comms is working]

Great! so uninstall and do the two pc reinstall following the exact same procedure. Set the values as per the single PC installation. (Com5 used only). LFS no data transmitted. DCS no data transmitted. Gamemanager and Gameengine is enabled in the firewall on their respective PC's and pings are okay.
