    Hello,

With a 2DOF, is there an effect to simulate traction loss?
I saw the effect on axis settings and in the filters, but I'm not sure if it's possible and how...

    Same question about Yaw..?

Do you succesfully setup these effects on basic 2DOF, or is it unpossible or makes not good/natural effects?

Test everything is working as expected on the hardware side.
Adding a dedicated traction loss axis is a popular addition to 2dof rigs.

You can get a sense of traction loss in a well setup motion profile, much as you can get a sense of surge using the pitch axis, though of course that is a simulation of an axis so not quite the same as a dedicated axis. Yaw is not so much of a need, unless you are into choppers, as it only really applies to a spin in a car, and only a minimal role in fixed wing aircraft.

    Thanks.
In LFS, the traction loss is applied on extra1 effect, but with demo of LFS I don't success to generate the effect (surely the free car has not enough horse power). ++

Extra1 would be used for a dedicated TL axis, which a 2DOF does not have.

Without a dedicated TL axis you are relying on well refined sway settings, in conjunction with other axis settings, to have a sense of TL, that is when the back end breaks loose, but of course there is no actual TL axis.

    Ah ok, so I can't use extra1 on Axis1a and Axis2a with a simple 2DOF.
I'm looking for an example of setup that mix effects to simulate traction loss with just the basic 2DOF, but only find post about '2DOF+third motor for traction loss'.

If anybody could show me his config or link a post about it, should be great !? ;)

    Hi,

Yes already read. it's a fine process to create a profile, but nothing specific about "setup that mix effects to simulate traction loss with just the basic 2DOF".

As per my earlier comment, it is about refining the cues a 2DOF is capable of, which is what the approach in the FAQs will help you do.

Ok thanks. I was just hoping somebody had a setup of such case on a 2DOF to get inspired of...

There are Presets, with the Preset button in Axis Assignments: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/categories/share-your-simtools-presets.150/

Trouble is unless it is the exact design and hardware a preset in unlikely to take full advantage of your rig, hardware and personal preferences.
