Hi can anyone help with my new problem. I have rebuilt my control box with a new ardueno uno and ibt2 controllers but now my motors shudder uncontrollably. I have no idea what I have done wrong or where to start looking. Any suggestions gladly accepted.

Have you double checked all wiring?

Have you setup SMC3 from scratch?

I have reset the system to control only one motor unplugging all the other wiring and still it is shuddering could it be a faulty Ardueno uno board

Sorry I should have added that when I smc3 on and run a sine wave the motor follows the line as it should but with the shudder I have also just found out that as soon as I turn the power on even without having the smc3 software running the shudder is the same. could it be a power supply problem.

Is it possible there is an issue with electrical interference?

Additionally, other members have reported a lot of issues with ibt2 controllers, so do check them very carefully.

IBT2 is a cheap device so it has many limitations, needs to be installed correctly to optimize, you can refer to the parameters on youtube

I appreciate your video is trying to suggest some generic settings range for SMC3.

However I feel your video misses the whole point of the SMC3 interface, and that is to allow individuals to fine tune settings for their specific hardware, nor is reference made to the initial recommended SMC3 setup steps: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/

Yes smc3 is very customizable, but it will be difficult for beginners, this is just my recommendation,
