    Hi All,
    I have loaded simtools v2,
I receive an error window (unhandled Exception). plus, Simtools Engine does not connect to the manager.
I have read most of the forums.
But I have not seen it that showed both issues.
I have done the debug route and turned off antivirus and reinstall the simtools .
    may sure simtools v2.
But I have the same issue. Have I miss something?

Did you maybe install a v3 plugin into v2?
Maybe you have the full log?

    yoboddy,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I had download simtools v2.
After I got loaded, I could see most things. Then it wouldn't connect to manager.
I had figure maybe I need to load plug-in.
I downloaded iRacing dragged and drop it in.
    No issues
Then went and checked it was not in the file in simtools.
I watched videos of the cause of jit but none of them was the problem.
Cuz, of being desperate I did download Simtools v3.
In the meantime I did find some videos on the v3.
    I was able load iRacing.
I followed the video as closely as possible.
I have all the screens and loaded. but it will not let me test the settings.
loaded SMC3 and retested it is working.
I have up loaded screen shots.
any Help would be appreciated !!!

Where did you download the plugin from?
V2 plugin are on xsimulator.net, and v3 plugin are downloaded thru the app or from simtools.us.

For now don't use the axis limiting section (screenshot 39).
And for now leave (screenshot 40) page set to linear.

Next can I see the axis assignments for the game?
    Chat soon,

I'm not sure what your sim looks like, but I suggest doing one DOF at a time.
Like start with surge, get it working, and then set it to 0 while we do sway.
Just getting surge and sway working on the sim will help a ton.

So maybe put surge on axis 1 and 2 at 50%, and then run the game and see if its working correctly.
If its backwards, then click the 'Dir' button on both surge assignments to flip the direction of the DOF.
Give it a try and let me know how it goes buddy.
    Take care,
    yobuddy

    yobubby,

I cut all the number back to 0 except for surge at 50%.
I tired a test no movement.
I tired in the game again no movement
it acts as the program in not going to Arduino.
SMC3 is working for the test. if that helps?

So we need to setup a motion Interface in SimTools. Let's setup Motion Interface #1 in SimTools v3.
(If you need to, you can install the Serial Plugin from the plugin manager - under Interface plugins)
Click the hamburger menu, and then select Interface Setup, then select the serial plugin.

The settings for the smc3 sketch is found toward the bottom of the first post here.
    https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/

    but here is the pic.

Now after you fill out the form and hit save, click the Test Settings button and see if it is now working.
(Be sure that the SMC3 app is not running)
Please give this a try, and see if we can get the interface setup and tested.
Please let me know how it goes.

It's totally ok buddy, it's what I'm here for. :thumbs

This means interface could not start error.
(but you know that, just here for others)

Swap the leads with the two motors, does the second motor now work?
Or does the original motor still work?

    yobuddy,

I tried swapping motor leads from to right to left motor.
The left motor would lift up. ( I did not swap the pot switches)
I also in simtools program test. I rotated the pot. switch, on the left motor and the motor move in that direction. ( after I returned the wires back)

I Then replace the IBT 2 driver. on the left motor. still the same. ( I had spares for just in case)
I don't think it is the motor. cause when I do a test in the smc3 program it hits all the marks and is strong.
and it will stay at park 5- 10 minutes until I turn it off.
    :(
    I am Lost!!

It looks like you have a space in your interface output line.
"B< Axis2a>" and it should be "B<Axis2a>" (no space) - the space is after the 'B<'

    yobubby,

That was it :thumbs The testing and getting the motors working.

Now I tried to load into Iracing.
    Iracing loads but not motion.

**What do I it need to do, to make sure I have downloaded the game correctly?**

And Thank You for the help on the motors.
it appears that largely it was the space in the interface code.
    go figure!!!

    Thanks Again :grin

    Awesome!

You can install game plugins from the plugin manager (bottom right of the main page).
But game plugins also offer updates anyway, so if its out of date, you will get a little Up arrow in the upper left of the game banner.

You can also download plugins from simtools.us, and then drag-drop them into the main page of the app.

Now that both axis are working, you can configure and test your axis assignments for Iracing.
Once everything is configured correctly, then give the game a go.
    Your defiantly getting close buddy!

Yes, micro-controllers are very finicky about such things.
it's an easy fix once we noticed it thou.

    Anytime :thumbs
