Hi @Marco Dias ... that Giant beast is going to kill you for sure my friend :grin:grin ...
This specific model you bought is what tempted me long time ago with the simulation world ... Congratulation :thumbs .

I have not much experience in hydraulic accessories knowledge ... But I saw these hydraulic electric valves earlier in the market and as I can remember they are single pipeline each and supplied with 48V operated with a PWM signal as they give a " BUZZ " sound when they work ...
There are different grades and speeds of those valves as per the operating pressure ...
So for a single DOF you'll need two of these synchronised for forward and reverse piston operation and hold ... and they are not cheap as all other pipes

For feedback signal I presume that an accumulative encoder is used for such long piston distance ... that would be a complex combination between mechanical and the encoder circuit ... such long distance must be covered with a high resolution feedback signal so not to waste the oil pressure tracking the poor motion feedback .

The 5.5HP 3 Phase motor oil compressor can work directly with 7HP VFD where this size is so popular as used with some elevators ...

I thought I could build one ended up with AC motors with gearbox ... take a look here for my first attempt .

IMHO getting this thing back to it's original condition is a dream ...

Can you upload that manual please ...

Wow... I seemed to have hit the jackpot and found someone that knows what to do ;)

    I don't... not yet haha...

I have invested so much money on the journey up to here that is not even funny anymore...

I started buy building 2 static sims with fanatec gear which I still own.. pretty good with 55" 4K curved screens, Bmw and f1 rims etc etc...THEN I BOUGHT A OLD MOTION ARCADE...

CRUISIN USA... The damn thing look so weird and ugly but I bought anyway... £3k... I bought because the michanical equipment was the strongest I have ever seen... the actuation safe do big they would crush me if I wasn'5 careful... the whole carousel was also solid builds but found our that mechanical work wasn't my strongest point so abandoned the idea of working on the cruisin usa unit and buy simething like what I bought now. ( selling all the gear from the cruisin usa if you know anyone interested btw ;)

Apologies for the advertise bit there haha

I wanted something I could modify but without touching the mechanicals,

The hydraulic system it's all working and refurbed, so I am told...

Now I have a bit of a clue about electrics but not as advAnced as you clearly do..,

    Fancy helping on this project?

The PDF I was sent for the controller is attached...

    Cheers

    Btw, the controller isn't working.

I saw a broken transistor on it so just ordered a replacement to see if that's the problem

    Ha..

I don't have it here.. it's in the workshop and I am sitting on my couch texting you.. ;-)
    Wasn't a transistor,
Is a MC34167TG Buck, Boost Switching Regulator IC TO-220-5

The controller unit itself picture attached

If it's this easy, why do they do converters?

    I just bought a £1500 3 phase to single phase 11KW converter 15HP

    Haha

    Exactly...

I only want to see it working so I see what does what on the wiring..

Save me a bit of time...

Probably better to just get straight to the encoders and valves and start operating them...

Is tbe aurduino the best way forward!
is there any better board with better compatibility?

    I want TV's best I can get

Isn't going to move without the hydraulic pressure I guess ... maybe a bit of cleaning and reading all labels + photos would be a nice first step ...

    Hi

No idea how to do that, however this is not a sim intended to be commercialized, it's gonna be a complete rebuild and not sure why not be in this section since it's literally gonna be diy...

    Happy either way tbh...
