Hello, I might be getting a Golf MK4's instrument cluster in the near future and would like to use it for sim racing, the cluster is half FIS it would be nice if I could use the display but it's not that important only the gauges matter to me. Does anyone know of someone who already did this, or where I could get pinouts for the connectors on the back. Also, I know that you can't control the speed and RPM gauges over CAN (for the temp and fuel gauges I'm not so sure), they probably use a pulsed communication, but I don't know the specifics of the communication or on what pin.

If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link it will be useful for the software side of things, unfortunately he is using a CAN controlled cluster and not a pulse controlled one. I'm gonna try a VW oriented forum and ask there what's the pinout for the cluster's connectors.
