Yes, but i haven't changed anything since simtools 2.0 was released, so it can't be in the settings I guess?

I tried disconnecting the pot meter from the axle and the motor responded fine, switched out the pot meter anyway. But when connected to the axle, feedback positions learned. It just violently drives to the mechanical stop! I don't get it? Why doesn't it do that when i manually turn the pot?

Okay, that was just me being dumb! The inverted feedback box was checked...

But the problem still persists, new JRK, new motor and new pot meter...

And now, out of the blue it works!!!(?)

But the new JRK are running really hot, ~80c - that's about double the normal temperature?

I mentioned it before but could there be a grounding issue? Double check all your wiring and connections.

Tried measuring the resistance to ground and it seems fine and is properly insulated.

What kind of motors are you running.
It does sound like a grounding issue to me also.
That seems pretty hot to me.

    Ordinary 12v wiper motors...
I can measure 11 Kohms resistance, that's about 10x of the left side, which is working flawlessly.

    Yeps :)

But i have a feeling that the new(used) motor are old and worn, would that make the JRK work harder?

Maybe swap the motors and se if the problem follows the motor or the JRK.

I'm not sure if I'm having a similar issue or something entirely different. I just updated to the newest version of SimTools, and when I open any game that was working with my setup, I receive one of your interfaces requires game engine to be restarted and no feedback or motion is given in any of the games.

Just checking that you changed your Interface Settings. The difference from SimTools 1.3 to SimTools 2 in setup is that in the Interface Settings instead of axis defined like this <Axis1> it now has designate grouping for a or b in SimTools 2 for each axis assignment, like this <Axis1a>

Thanks for the reply! I went from SimTools 2.1 to 2.2 - those settings appeared to be the same as before the upgrade however,

    No Interface change needed then.

Did you install directly over SimTools 2.1?

What you could try is backing up your settings by zipping C:\Users\(Your User Folder)\AppData\Local\SimTools

Then uninstall and reinstall SimTools 2.2
