As you know I built myself two bass-shakers as you can see here.

The speakers I utilized wheren't good enough so I buoght two of these pre built bodyshakers for a very cheap price and I'm totally satisfied.
They're 100W/4Ohm and you can see the difference with my previous DIY ones.
    IMG_20161125_121220.jpg

Also got this subwoofer crossover to cut some other undesired frequencies out.

So, I'm having my new (one month!!) G29 replaced because depending on the rotation of the steering wheel, buttons and paddles either don't work or work all together.
This is the last time I buy Logitech's wheels

Yup, the clamps on my G27 broke in may, and it took a broken replacement g29 and 3 months of pulling my hair out with tech support to eventually get a working replacement. When this one inevitably breaks I'm going to build a DD wheel :p.

The clamps on my g25 broke long ago. They don't do well to be tightened with pliers. So I screwed it down. Then the encoder fell off of the motor. So I hot glued it. Then it would overheat and become intermittent, off and on doesn't help me drive. So I put fans inside.......I agree the Logitech controllers could be a bit more robust for the money.

As I wrote in another post, I had quite some problems with my steering wheels lately (broken G27>broken G29>broken G29>refurbished T300 sold as new) that brought me to buy a Thrustmaster T300RS Alcantara Edition (30cm. Ferrari 599xx Alcantara wheel + T3PA).

I found some time to shoot a short video of the rig in action. Sorry for the audio, it's taken from the camera mic (don't have time to mix the replay and get the audio from there...)

A tip: if you got helmet covers they work perfect for covering & protecting the wheel and the Rift!

Ok, Simtools 2 is here and with it the Remote Profiler.

I had a kiosk around at home I used for demoing a few projects I made some years ago (framework and plugins for kiosks PCs), so I thought it would be somehow useful other than for my multimedia stuff.
I modded my hifi rack to hold it

    Here it is:

@yobuddy Did you sort what the problem with the Profiler not getting but just setting values could be?

    @Blame73,
I have been able to re-create the problem but only at times, and only at the initial startup.
And once it makes a connection, I can't seem to get it to stop working.

    Here is what I'm doing.
    1,
Go to the Remote Profiler pc, launch the Remote Profiler and click the IP button.
Enter the IP address of the Game Manger PC and click save.

    2,
Now goto the Game Manger pc and open the remote profiling page under the Tools section.
Click the IP Setting button and enter the IP address to the Remote Profiler PC.
Then enable Remote profiling in Game Manger.

(If the game banner does not show on the Remote Profiling App.)
Disable Remote profiling in Game Manger, then Re-Enable it again.
You should be up and running now?

let me know how it goes,
    yobuddy

    Thanks buddy!
It worked, and seems to keep on working after the first time without the need to do the all process all over again.
Tomorrow I'll try with all the PCs, but I'm confident it will work.

What's the problem? It needs to be called before calling the host?

EDIT: @yobuddy yes, it works on Win10 & Win7. Thanks!

Yesterday I bought these two new motors (thanks @Pit for the tip!) :D
12V DC geared motors with 60:1 ratio worm/wheel gearbox
    Voltage: 12V
    Current: 23A
    Speed: 65RPM
    Torque: 15Nm
    Peak Torque: 30Nm
    Gear Wheel Material: Delrin

This morning I got the hearness belt I ordered. :)

And since things were going just fine... one JRK stopped working :(
As it happened to the other one, the mini USB on the controller is giving me a lot of problems and I don't know if I can fix it this time as I did for the other.

    Back to Ard/MM? pffffffffff :(

@Blame73 I know they are not new, but have you tried contacting pololu directly. Although they may not replace it for free maybe they would offer a discount with exchange as this is the second one to fail in this manner.
