    Good night guys
I introduce is this community because I just bought a platform with 3 actuators simxperience driving, is in very good condition.
I bought it for commercial subjects in my leisure center.
At the moment I have to install computer, peripherals, control boards, pedals, etc ...
At home I have a fixed base of conduction, these days I am going to carry out some tests transferring equipment from home.
I have read some previous post to this one on commercial subjects.
I would like to be guided a little on this issue since I want to buy commercial license.
    A greeting.

Hi, I'm Peter from Devon, UK. Looking to take my sim racing to the next level with motion, to compliment my Rift in mainly iRacing. Been reading lots of posts and the FAQs, amazed at the amount of information on here, fantastic! I've pretty much decided on a seat mover 2DOF, possibly with traction loss. I'm going to use JRKs, haven't got a clue about motors, found these but really not sure http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JCF63R-DC...871139?hash=item2cc150fc23:g:j3cAAOSwsMVZcYav
I'll post my project when I've got a bit further along with the modelling in Autodesk Inventor, I plan to make it from folded sheet metal so I can have it manufactured at work. Excited to get started, I hope to make the finished product look as professional as possible just in case I can't hide it away when I move!

Hello all I am also very new here and very inexperienced with computers, I have built my 2 DOF sim the metal and welding part and am now trying to get it running using Arduino UNO and Sim tools but have failed so far to making it move with sim tools, noorbeast has been very good trying to help me, so too many others within this forum and I thankyou and apologise for my lack of computer skills. If there is anyone out there that is starting out as I am, maybe we could bounce stuff of each other????? to get this thing moving ha ha sim.jpg

    Hi @Ned.

It certainly does pay to bounce challenges off others and members can chip in with ideas and things to try.

Hang in there, many of us have been where you are now, wrapping your head around a whole bunch of unfamiliar stuff.

    Hello Friends,

So happy to be apart of this community.
SO HAPPY THAT THIS COMMUNITY EXISTS!
Recently, I have taken it upon myself to build a motion racing rig. Not only do I love motor sports, but it's down right cool as all hell. Some of us will just never have the chance to take that dream car around your favourite track. This would keep that dream alive.

    Diving into the dark,
    overwhelming
    abyss of information
    deeper
    deeper
    night
    after
    night....planning, googling, dc motors, torque,
    pots, jrks,
    aduinos,

    deeper

    Actuators? 4"? 5"?......... 12"! 18"! yeeessssSSS noooooope
(too many small parts to replace if it breaks) hell nope...
    dc motors it is.
Suddenly, it's not a deep and dark abyss anymore. You have provided me with so much knowledge; A database of pertinent information. I can not wait to contribute to this forum in some way.

Deciding to start with a 3dof motion platform, using 3 dc motors.
    (rather than modifying a chair)

My father has always dreamt of racing a brand spanking new Corvette at a racetrack halfway around the world in Germany. He has talked about this for decades. In hopes of never letting his dream die, I will give him the closest experience I can build.

    Looking forward to sharing...

    Big Beard

    Welcome @Diogo Kruger.

I look forward to hearing more about your 6DOF project plans.

If you are seeking build, hardware and software information to get you started, then look in the FAQs: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

There is a specific 6DOF section in the FAQs, which would be a good place to start, particularly as a 6DOF is an ambition first project: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/6dof.22/category

    Hi All,

First up - I have been lurking for a while now checking out all the awesome creations people have put together! I figured it was time to stop lurking and start doing...
I currently run around in Automobilista and AC but once the rig is built I'll probably end up back at iRacing.
I'm thinking a 2 DOF seat mover for starters then go from there. I inherited a couple of Electric Power Steering racks and I'm just trying to find some specs for them to see how suitable they are - (probably overkill in terms of power...).

Thanks for the add - catch up with you all soon

Hi everyone, My names phil and I'm a simraceoholic, phew I said it!
From ps1 in 1997 with a springloaded madcatz wheel for f1 and toca through ps2-3-4, I finally built my pc this year and a nicely modded rig with four aura transducers to go iracing.
Now I am looking into motion but I am a dad with three big kids and four lil ones along with a trophy wife n mum, don't worry she won't read this.
Obviously I'm on the tightest of budgets so where the heck do I start? I pick things up quickly and I've started looking but I really could do with a quick guide for a novice.(idiots guide).I look forward to getting to know you guys and thanks in advance.
