    Hi,

I am going back to wormdrive for now.

    I would like 400mm heave, 120° of motor rotation, 6DOF, 35° pitch/roll

    In term of angle :

What gives me 450 for platform radius :

    Mobile :

    Fix :

In a vertical plan (trying 2D before 3D), does the neutral position should be like this :

Or should I put the axis of fixation at the middle of lever, like this ?

I think I'm wrong because after having done all of this, I only have 15° of roll :(

Thanks for your help guys !

Others with 6DOF rigs like @SeatTime and @SilentChill are better placed to comment, but I would think 35 degrees excessive.

    Hi guys,

is that a problem if my seat is not at the center of rotation ?

because of problem of room size, I have to put the seat down of 350mm and back of 330mm.

Will it change the movment perception in bad terms ?

Or is that a problem for gravity center ?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi,

    project keeps going !

30° pitch and roll, 70° yaw

    [IMG] [IMG]

    400mm for/back and left/right and 500mm Heave

    [IMG] [IMG]

Do you know where I could find a seat where I can put my warthog joystick between my legs ?

And where to find gear wheel ? with chain ? would it be able to transmit 750w ?

    thanks

500mm/sec it's a lot! (and difficult to achieve)
Nice actuator design, I have a similar but a little more radical design in mind if my more simplistic design fails this week.

    Under fusion360 :

    Screw lenght : 550mm, total travel : 480mm

    And hardware in real :

I have a problem : the ball screw nut is in the wrong side compared to machined size, can I remove it and reverse it ?

    What do you think of my design ? @SeatTime @wannabeaflyer @baykah @Hoddem @noorbeast

You can unscrew it, but you need a piece of tube of the same size of the screw, or a printed screw.
