    Hello everyone!
I am starting a project to create a 4DOF platform.
As I could, I drew an approximate layout in the sketch app.
With the location of the front motors and fastening jet rods have not yet decided.
    Motors ordered Chinese 300 Watt 24V 1800 rpm, with a 50:1 gearbox.
Hall sensors are also from China Arduino UNO R3 - 2pcs. But the situation with drivers for motors is not clear. Sabertooth is not delivered to our country. While I am studying the question of which ones are suitable from those available in China. Picked up a few options.
I post screenshots below. Criticism and comments are welcome.

I also found this driver. It is also in question whether it will fit, the price is almost like for a sabertooth))

When it comes to selecting drivers why not simplify and ensure existing code is available for the Uno: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/arduino-code-for-use-with-various-hardware-and-simtools.31/

Personally I would suggest selecting hardware compatible for the various variations of SMC3, given it has a companion app to provide easy and informative access to configuring settings.

With respect to the design you could perhaps consider a pivoting V shaped bar between the top and bottom frames to prevent unwanted torsional rotation, but still allow traction loss style movement, albeit from a limit pivotal point. This a slightly different design but similar to what I mean in terms of visualizing the motion: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/prilads-4dof-dc-motor-sim-rig.6157/

For myself, so as not to lose:
Platform 4DOF + TL (Traction Loss - lateral rotation / displacement of the rear axle) - what to shift - the entire platform or the pilot's seat?
    ***Features***
    Left and Right
    Back and forth
    Up and down
TL Lateral shift/rear axle swivel Tilt angles 15* or 30*?
    ***Logics***
Starting the platform (power is turned on, the platform goes to the working position (no data - moves to the rest position) )
Before the start - the platform is in a rest position (motors without power? Or lower the lever to 0 *? - the force is removed from the motors)
The map (game) has loaded - the platform enters the working position, receives data from the game...
After the end of the race, the platform moves to a rest position.
Protective emergency shutdown - what to turn off, under what conditions? (Power supply for potentiometers, power supply for motor drivers)?
Manual emergency shutdown - what to disable? (Motor power, potentiometer power, motor driver power)? Grounding - what kind of grounding? (Boards, potentiometers must be isolated from the platform?) ***Software***
    SMC3utils - configuring motors
SimTools - Receives data from the game (adjusted by Axis Limits...)
Sketchup + package for building "crutches" - platform constructor
    Plugins for games.

@RufusDufus was last active on Oct 17, 2021, so it my be a while before he has a chance to respond.

SMC3 MODE1: Supports a PWM output pin plus two Motor Direction output pins.

MODE2: Designed for H-Bridges that require direct drive of Highside and Lowside switch inputs. In this mode one switch is driven as a direction pin and the other with the PWM output however the PWM duty needs to be inverted whenever the motor changes direction with the direction pin.

You need to figure out if your hardware is supported and if so which Mode yours is.

The problem is that the manufacturer of this driver could not say anything (on Aliexpress ...:grin)
Okay, when I get these drivers, I'll try at random

Thank you very much for your support :thumbs

Tell me what mode in SMC3.ino did you use with a 100A drivers?

I really interested on the design.
using 4 motor to get 4dof. very interesting! this is something I can do, with minimal budget of course.
can't wait to see the final build.
    good luck!

Hey @itsumairu! At the moment I am waiting for the gearmotors to arrive.
Since I do not know their dimensions, I cannot proceed with the assembly and welding of the platform.
As soon as I receive them, I will create a new theme in the showroom

Tell me, if a resistor is required for the driver and what denomination?

After a long wait, the ordered components gradually began to arrive. I received an arduino UNO, I ordered it on Aliexpress, the order came not the one that was in their photo.

Gradually continue to receive components. Very long but I'm glad that they at least come.

    And so it happened.
Gear motors have arrived. When I ordered them, I expected them to be large, but I did not think that they were so large. This week I plan to start manufacturing the platform.
There is also the question - which power supply is suitable for such motors. I think that two power supplies of 700 watts will be enough.
