    assetto corsa is VERY dangerous!
    had my second hard trip of the safety limit switch..
    it probably took out another anti-wobble ring...
    UGH.
    have to dismantle a actuator for repair.
    both simtools and mover, i thought i did enough to place limits.. but my experience with assetto is that it behaves ok starting, but during progression of racing, the platform continues to rise as if trying to simulate elevation and then bam, another hard trip...

    have to 3d print a few wobble rings...

    i felt good after doing a factory reset. i though i was going to have to shell out another 200$ on a replacement sabertooth.

    today, i went to take apart one of my actuators and removed the damaged anti-wobble ring after having a hard trip.
    definitely damaged, i decided to remove it...after noticing a grey film, which i think is the carbon dust with the lithium grease...

    @Pierre Lalancette , if i recall one of your posts, you removed all your anti wobble rings, right?
    wondering if you did the same on your old 6 DoF, mister @wannabeaflyer2 @SilentChill ?

    Hi @hannibal cant honestly give update on the state of my anti wobble inserts as i have not really used those 6DOF actuators for a long enough time to give true results ... My Rods were Metal ( Rolled tube with Seam weld on inside ) so im guessing they would get torn up in during use , in my case mainly due to the internal seam weld catching the Anti Wobble insert from time to time.. i had accepted i may have had to swap them out after lengthy use but never got that much run time on the actuators to prove that .. :( actuators are still in once piece LOL just spending more time playing with my 4DOF sim with SFX type actuators :) ..

    LOL @hannibal still here mate in Lurker mode at moment adding enhancements to the 4 DOF sim and loving the use and performance.. still a crap driver :) but in awe of how this sim works so well for me .. active seatbelt tensioner is next nutty wanna make one o those project so will add that to my post soon .. cheers .. this guys is always tinkering but loving it as it keeps the old grey cells busy :)

    anti vibration do-hicky..for gopro drone.. does it even work? i have this feeling that its meant to be used upside down.. may have to try the 3d printer anti vibration feet from thingaverse.. 20200217_221645.jpg

    i dont think motion compensation is working. i have to play with the settings...i followed the OpenVR input emulator settings...from a dofreality instruction manual
    when i set for default (non compensation) my controller is where it should be but theb floats around when i set the tracker for motion compensation set to zero... (after getting out of my 6dof, i realize i probably have to set my index controller to refer to the tracker, while the tracker is set to motion compensation (i would like the index hand controller to function later so i can operate the DCS aircraft)

    i dont know, i mean i literally put that thing together today. so i still have to play around.

    SO TODAY WAS MY FIRST VR MOTION CAR DRIVE (in live for speed)

    it was amazinggggg
    wow.
    although i need to tune it, i will say it really feels like im going up hills and down hills. i think less motion is better, thing gets jerky in some instances..
    my view was stable.. i guess compensatio was working..but then again, i dont have my 6dof rig for extreme motion...so i probably got by..

    Hello. I missed a lot of your post.
    I never used anti wobble ring. 6 Degree of flight had tested it and said it was worst than not having one. So I trusted is experience. Had no issue about that ever.
    It's been a long time since I used the motion cancellation with the Vive. I don't have it anymore. Cannot test it again. All I remember was to set the plugin, go to the setting and set it to motion compensation or something. Then, you would reset your seat position. Steam VR have change a lot since.

    i followed that instruction set also one from dofreality.
    for some reason using vive tracker for motion cancellation set to zero, then my index hand controller floats around... :/
