    Hi.
Just a tip. I think it will be wise to use those to protect power supply https://es.aliexpress.com/item/32418368199.html

Hi. Yes. I have bought 2 KBPC8010 rectifiers. But if I use the motors with 18.5V, it may not be necessary to place them according to the tests I did so far.
I have to see what happens with a person sitting in the armchair.
What I could do is lean against the back of the chair and on the front at the height of the engines and there are no problems or temperature of the BTS7960 nor voltage feedback.
I am not looking for a platform with a lot of movement since I am going to use 3 screens that will be fixed. What I am looking for is to have little movement but of good quality.

Here a test of the platform still unfinished but 100% functional. Anxiously waiting for the DIY license of simtools to use my favorite games that are Asseto Corsa and Project Cars 2.

Some photos of how the circuit part inside a box was armed at the moment. Operating at 18.5 V, the BTS 7960 does not heat almost anything and there is no feedback voltage, so it is not necessary to place any protection diodes. The engines you buy have plenty of power. I recommend them 100%.
I am using simtools 2.4 in dual configuration

Great info. Do you really need two power supplies or. would one be enought?

Hi. I have not taken peak motor consumption readings. I estimate that a single power source like the ones I have would be enough. But I got them at a great price and bought 2 units. I take advantage of using them considering that having a source for each engine the system is more reliable.

I have got the motors and they f.u. and send me 120rpm instead of 75rpm. The torque is 24 instead of 35. Since I will only use seat moving do you think 120rpm will be enought and also the calculation of using only around 20v instead of 24v the torque will be even lower.

Knowing how the 24V 75RPM motors work using them at 18.5V, I think the 120 RPM motors may not work well. There are too many RPM for this application. I am using a 50 mm CTC. If you use a double RPM engine you should use a 25mm CTC to compensate for the difference, or advance the engines ahead of the pedalboard, which would reduce efficiency in the lateral movements of the platform. I advise 75 RPM engines.

OK TNX will make a reclamation.
I can see that your position is not leveled I think that most of the weight is on the back so motors will need to perform stronger than, if the position would be leveled, I assume.

Do not set the position of the platform permanently. From what I could prove the engines must be weighed so that the effects are more precise. Even now I have 2 12V 7A batteries placed next to the pedalboard to make weight in the front. The best thing to do that is to use elastic bands.

Hi. How are the motros working? I have got most of the parts to start working on this one and I am interested if you have found anything worth mentioning (problems, special settings, maybe some sim tool configuration that differ from other settings?) Have you already received the license for SimTool? TNX

Hi. The engines are excellent. Even operating at 18.5 V, which is the nominal working voltage of the BTS7960 where they do not generate heat, the motors are very strong. No problem for the demands of simtools. The configuration of simtools has more to do with the geometry of the platform. Then I put photos of my settings that can serve as a guide. I obtained the license 7 days after requesting it. You can request it once you have a functional platform, even if it is not 100% finished.

Here I leave my current configuration of simtools where I managed to have an even and realistic response using any of the games with any of the vehicles. The CTC is 50mm.

In new video where I can say that I have achieved the perfect set of simtools to get the best response of each effect.
I have increased the range of motion and varied the percentage of some effects. Then I publish the images.

Hi. My project has stalled a little bit because lack of time....
Did you do any hardware modifications for the motors because of the lack of self lock in shaft? Do BTS7960 work ok?

Hi. Happy 2020. BTS work very well. The important thing that they are at 18.5V is the minimum regulation of my power supplies. When working at that voltage, the BTS7960 does not heat up. 18V is the nominal voltage for which they are designed and can deliver maximum current.
With regard to the lack of self-locking, I only have a stop placed so that when the system is not energized the lever does not fall completely. Then when I energize the system the levers are positioned alone according to the resting point set in simtools.

Then I upload photos to see.
The angle of the platform is that way to give the necessary angle to the armchair. That is then compensated by adding weight to the front if necessary so that there is always a little more weight forward. And it will also depend on the weight of your steering wheel and pedalboard, since they will generate weight in the front.
In this way it is achieved that the little slack that the motor shaft may have does not manifest itself.
These engines are extremely powerful. They have no problem moving the platform.

Hi, Arielnac, it's very exciting to see your rig moving.
Is there any reason for you to place the motor in the front rather than in the back of the joint?
(mine is quite similar to yours and for now the motors are placed in the back)

Hi. If it works very well.
I believe that the engines in the front position generate more realistic acceleration and braking movements. In addition, the platform is more compact with a good distance between the pivot point and the motors.
