    Hi All,

I tested my rig using my lap top and everything was working fine, all movement i tested with simtols output testing it is worked perfectly. but there was small vibration distortion, that distortion i can see even SMC as well. but still it work.

then i connected my system to my gaming PC ( Desktop computer ) with 3 monitors. But when i tested with simtools out put testing unfortunately my ARDUINO board got damaged :(:(:(. ( 5V supply wire got burned )
after that i connect with new arduino to my system and checked, when i was testing output test it start working and stopped moving both motors. when motors start moving my monitors also had a big distortion.
after that when i checked my two motor drives ( BTS 7960 also damaged ):(:(:(:( struggling lot..:sos:sos

also i have to struggle lot for making the position of motor moving part and potentiometer 0 point to make the seat in home position. it is very hard to make home position manually adjusting potentiometer. is there any other way to fix this.

kindly please someone can help me to fix these issues really appreciate.

    thank you very much all.....

    Appreciate your reply noorbeast,

actually i did not do wiper motor ground isolation, i thought if use two motor drive PCB separately no need to do ground isolation, thank you for advice and im planing to do that for my both motors.

but i have one doubt, this same setup i was using with my lap top and it was working perfectly. ( including LFS )
it start getting damaged when i connected to the desktop PC. is there any other possibilities get damaged with PC ?

Also i applied for DYI licence, but i'm not very sure still i'm eligible to get license. Please advice...

    Thank you....

A PC should not damage control board and motor drivers.

I am away traveling so have asked other admins to check license requests.

    Hi noorbeast,

I have received my DYI licence, Thank you very much...hug:hug:

Still i didn't use it, Because i'm planing to test it with lap top but my permanent setup will be with my gaming desktop PC, So I have doubt, if use it for my lap top still i will be able to use it again for my gaming PC.
kindly please explain me this matter.

    Thank you very much...

The license is only valid for one computer.

But the demo mode of SimTools has the fully functional plugin for Live For Speed, specifically for testing purposes, so just use that for testing. You can download LFS here: https://www.lfs.net/downloads

    Hi noorbeast,

Thank you for quick reply and well noted,

i have a one more doubt,
i connect my potentiometer to motor shaft using long nut, but when power up motor start moving and stop in different positions, its very hard to set home position because of this crazy movement, ( I think both motors looking for 0 position of potentiometers, ) is there any other way to set this or i missed something to set.

when i test my sample miniature setup using RC motors always they stopped in correct position ( 90 degree ) home position. may that potentiometer are inbuilt.

i attached some photos for reference,
Please help me to fix this issue.

    thank you very much..
