    Hi Everyone,

This is my first post related to my simulator status.

Our project is being developed with my Father (structure builder), my cousin (electronic and arduino topics) and me.

Under our motion platform we have another structure (but this is not part of our project) is only for support while we are testing.

We decided to make a individual motion platform to allows compatibility with any commercial cockpit. (But we want build our cockpit).

For the arduino and motomonster controllers we use the SMC3 controller because in the future we want add to our motion platform the 3rd axis for the heavy.

For the structure we decided build the platform with a dimension from 0.65*1.0 mts to supports the standar cockpits. As you can see we are testing to obtain where is the correct point to put the motors in the base to generate the motion. Now we put the motors near to the center, but we need move those to corners to validate what is the correct position to generate the best motion and allow the max weight.

Total height for the platform: 32 cms.

We bought 2 wiper motor that are used with standard car. I have been reading and some projects use truck wiper motor . Is neccesary use the truck wiper motors or is enought with standard car wiper moter ?

    3d55aae6-7aa6-4071-9abf-762e05eea88c.jpg
We use power supply with 12 DC 40 amp. We could not obtain a power supply for 50 amp. Is 40 amp enought to move the 2 wiper motors and a fan for the motomonster coolers?

Yesterday we made the initial test for the arduino+motomonster and the SMC3 tool, and we could make the first test and motion.

I'm going to update the status of our project here, and if someone has a question related to our project and need detail information please respond in this thread.

If you have a suggestions please write it.

If someone has info for the questions related to the wiper motors and power supply please write it.

The motors that actually we have are small and doesn't have the enough force.
Anyone does know some link to amazon or ebay to buy a standard motors for my DIY?

Another tip. Your rods do not have enough space to fully move.
There should definitely be spacers on both sides.

it will not be quite as efficient as 90 degrees at rest, but is likely not a huge issue with more suitable motors,

I know that I have some issues with the spaces for the rods, but first of all I need to fix the position of my rod to put in perpendicular with my level in rest status; now itsn't perpendicular and it generates a lot of fully move without canonical spacers.

Today I changed the wiper motors to a new model with 50 NM and 40 rpm.

With these new wiper motors We have enough space to put the potentiometer in the front of the motor with 2 printed gears. It help us to avoid cut and connect the potenciometer to the wipe motor in the back side.

That is our design in alpha phase, we need to improve some changes in the cockpit, we have learned a lot of with my father.

With the new motors and changing the rod position we hope finish the first design and begin our new compact design.

We will continue posting on this thread while we continue working on this designe.

The upload is done. We need to improve the spaces with the rods.

A week ago I bought new rods end and I added the spacers; I've tested my simulator and all works fine., but after 1 week I'm seeing that my rods end began to work hardener. If I use my hand to move the platform from side to side, It moves softly, but If I disarm each rod end and try to move it, now is hardest that when I bought it. Is it normal?

Do you mean the motor moves if you use the seat for leverage but you can't move the lever by hand?

    Or something else?
