Another option is to go and buy a Pre-Paid visa credit card!!! I have bought one with 100 euro charged in it to use it with paypal! Of course after you spend all the money in it, its useless and not connected to any real bank account! So you are safe too!

Actually I paid 102 euro. the 2euro was the banks expenses for the card!

Thanks to everyone who has supported this project!
I really can't wait to order!

So will all of the Mirai actuators be compatible when we get scn5 support?
I know these are very expensive, but 6 of these would make an awesome 6 DEG platform and be pretty simple to build.

These actuators get 33 inches a second! And although it would cost $12,000 dollars or more, that's really pretty good for a 6 DEG motion platform.

Theoretically other Dyadic linear cylinders should be supported as well, as they use the same controller (though they may be not attached to the acutator, like in case of the SCN5).
But 145lbs are not that much for a 6DOFer, I think.

    Hi,

I'm glad we could manage to collect the money for a SCN5 so soon!!!! Its awesome!

Anyway, until I release the DIY USB_to_485 converter PCB, I propose to Sirnoname to use this RS232_to_485 converter:
    http://aquaticus.info/rs485_to_rs232

It includes PCB plans and even example code on how to activate the 485 enable line through rs232... It will be very easy and cheap to make.

whats up guys i have a few questions:

    1. after the main guy gets the actuator, how long do you guys think it will be until we can have support for them? i'm only asking because i want to know if i should order the actuators asap or wait.

    2. i recently started to play richard burns rally again and i have to say, that game is still awesome  how hard is it to support games? do you just need to run the game to get the data or is it more complex then that?

    3. is their a tutorial on how to use this software, english only version? i'm really looking forward to having a motion simulator soon and i don't want to be held back by my lack of knowledge with this software.

i'm really looking forward to this, this is gonna be awesome

    @Njracer

    1. hmm. At least 15 years, I think :mug1:
You should better wait some days, till he has figured it out. But in the end its up to you.

2 and 3 are OT, but I'll write something short. If you will have further questions then, please open new threads for them, in order to keep things clear.

We are on RBR currently, and already have some offsets available, as you can see in the proper thread. With the help of Kada_CZ, who has registered himself recently, and other RBR enthusiasts, we will be able to find some more offset adresses for RBR for sure.
In case of RBR you will have to use the X-Sim Profiler + Injector to get data from RBR.

No, currently there is no well worked out tutorial for X-Sim, as it is quite hard to make one. But volunteers are highly wellcome!
I think the best way to get familiar with the software, is to use it! Try it on your own, and if problems occur, then ask us.
Perhaps you should try a well supported game for testing purposes at first, and try to get out some game values into the Profiler.
I'd propose you to use a Simbin Game, R-Factor or LFS for your first steps with X-Sim.

    Ok, now back to topic!

    Regards
    Christian
