    Hi..
I am in the way to get all the hardware to make this effect on my Simulator.
    but I have a question:

Do you know if I may use a Pololu - micro Maestro 6 channel, to activte those fan and activate another hardware like a Bass Shaker that runs with the RPM's engine?..

    Thanks!

Member has not been here since 2012, not sure if you will get a response. Plus we don't support xsim here anymore, Only the new software SimTools which has nothing to do with XSIM

    Hi Guys,
I am new here and have a 3Dof Sim Rig with the very similar Fan System. Splendidd supported me in past to set up this fan System. After Installation of some new features I lost all my adjustments and I was not able to bring the settings back. I used the same settings like here described without any success.
I assume there is a problem in the set up of the Pololu Mastro 6 Channel Board.
Seams that Pololu does not communicate with Xsim and if I used for instance the Dual Com on the Maestro Control Centre I have got the error 0x010
I really hope someone here in the Forum has the same system, because it was a lomg time a projetct on Xsim and can help me.
    Many thanks in advance
    Best regards

thanks for reply. Yes, the thread in the pololu forum is my thread. But I hope someone here has build the same fan sytem and can help me further.
The other question is, does xsimulator software work similar than xsim?
And is it possible to set up a fan system like this with this software?
    Best regards

    Hi @chris1962
SimTools outputs the data to drive a motion platform: pitch, roll, yaw, surge, sway, heave and sometimes traction loss.
For dashboard data like speed, RPM, petrol level, ect. you'll need the additional GameDash app.
You can find an FAQ with many examples here.

I actually think SimTools is easier to setup that Xsim and has more refined motion control, plus a really active community. The best way to find oun though is to try it for yourself.

    Hi
yes I will try. But again is it possible to use Universal Comport to control devices like Pololu Maestro 6 Channel board?
Otherwise I have no chance to run my complete system.

    Many thanks

    regards

as usual @noorbeast is a gentleman :) I would describe it like that: SimTools is MUCH easier to setup (XSim never worked for me), the XSim community is DEAD. The best way is not to try it out before you will fail :)
