What game would you advise to start with sim racing?

    Since I only have experience with race games on the xbox 360 and mainly the Forza Motorsport series I was wondering which X-sim compatible PC sim game would be best to:

    • start with more realistic sim racing?
    • play together with friends whom have more arcade like- or no experience at all?

    iRacing would be the most frequent answer to the first I reckon, but I don't want to start with this because I think for now it is too expensive, who knows I might take the step in the future, but for now I'm looking for a buy once game with an offline mode.

    I have GTR-Evolution, but this is a quite outdated game so I don't know if this would be my best bet for starting with PC sim racing.

    A tad late, but thx ;)

    Next to GTR evolution I might just buy Race Injection and the Race On bundle pack as well, if I'm correct the content of these three together form the entire available Race 07 package.
