    Hi Simracers,

    This is Jason from Korea.

I'm going to introduce Fanatec Rim Standalone USB Conversion PCB from Leo Bodnar.
This product makes you use Fanatec rims with your Open SimWheel easily.

This is the Fanatec Rim Standalone USB Conversion PCB.

LeoBodnar said that Fanatec Universial Hub is not compatible yet, but He is in development currently.

The compatible list for now is.

    Formula Rim.
    BMW GT2 Rim.

    and

Sorry a bad choice of words. I meant it is great I can use my existing BMW and Formula wheels and upgrade to OpenSimWheel if I consider my Fanatec setup needs replacing.

No problem. noobeast, I just wanted to let you know fanatec universal hub is not compatible for now and it's in development currently. I thought you were going to use fanatec universal hub.

Hello @jamesdio and thank you for the useful info.
I am going to upgrade from a Fanatec CSW v1 to an OSW system and I already own the Fanatec BMW GT & formula rims, so looks a good idea to use the two rims as they are both excellent looking and working!
Although, I'm concerned about the cable that is going to hang under the wheel. Do you know if there is a wireless solution instead of the usb cable - I mean a device to transmit wireless the signal from the usb on the wheel to a usb receiver on PC?
And one more thing (if you know), the Fanatec Wheel Rim Generic Quick Release Adaptor is suitable for all quick releases in the market? What do you use for your system (or propose)?

    thank you
    Aris
