    Living in the deep south (Alabama, USA), we may get a "skiff" of snow about every 5 or 6 years. (I'm originally from the north, USA, and the first 40 years of my life, snow was a way of life in the winter and no big deal. THIS year, we've had a very cold winter and last week we got a "skiff" of snow, about 1/2". EVERYTHING stopped for 3 days - schools, government, businesses - and the snow wasn't even on the roads... it's a big event down here. My wife has always been in the south, and last week, she was like a little kid at Christmas.....just standing at the window and watching the flakes come down....LOL (I was working on my platform)
