Star Citizen is one of the most anticipated games of this generation (and the previous one ...). We've been waiting for it for a few years, but we're still waiting for more details about its VR compatibility. Except that a post from a developer has put serious doubt on the subject, since it indicated "do not expect much about virtual reality".

Fortunately, he just clarified the situation on Reddit by explaining that he did not mean they had abandoned VR support:

    don't hold your breath

it means, dont expect it period, be pleasantly surprised if it does show up, but if you hold your breath you will likely die

sort of like 'if theres a chance of it happening at all, it will be in a long time'

Sorry, this is really not the meaning I intended. I should probably just let this lie, but I want to be clear I was NOT saying it's off the table.

Its already so horribly inefficient that you will need SLI'd 1180Ti cards for VR if they ever add support.... best we can hope for is a VR pilot mode as the fps code is becoming too embedded and complicated.... shame :(
