    Last year i wrote a telemetry app for RF2

    It logs lots of info about the car and driver and displays a map showing where the car is etc.

    It uses the rf2 shared memory map dll

    Is there any reason an exe could not be used as a plugin rather than a dll ?

    If i program a transfer of the data to udp this may well work as both a plugin and a telemetry app

    @yobuddy - what is your opinion ?

    You would still need a dll for simtools to load and use the plugin.
    The plugin could however use an exe to send data if needed.
    But using the shared memory map directly would be a lot easier I think. (Unless I'm missing something)
    Take care!
