    My Motion Simulator:
    DC motor, Arduino, 6DOF
Hello all, on my 6DOF rig (more details see my posts before) i have strange phenomenia. The rig is full functional and all seems to work good however 2 motors getting more hot than the other 4 motors. The motors left side middle and right side front getting more hot (45 till 50 degrees), because of this i can not stretching the full potential of this rig. I swapped already the drivers and the motors itselves.
Edit: as test i connected all 3 motors on the left side to the connections of the right side and the 3 motors from the right side to the connections from the left side. Still the same motors getting hot. Any idea what causes this restricting behaviour.
Thanks for advice and kind regards, Piet

It sounds like the seat is maybe sitting a bit to one side of the sim, making it work harder to move the sim on that side? Also you have a lot of weight from the person hanging from the platform the motors arms are connected to, can you raise the seat a bit closer to the center of gravity, as it may help.

If the game uses memory map to export the telemetry data, then both software's should work. But if the game uses UDP to export the data, then you will have problems (as you can only have one listener per port). (Forza Horizon 5 uses UDP to deliver the telemetry data.) SimTools uses port 4123 to receive the data, I am guessing the other software altered the telemetry export settings for the game. So the easiest thing to do would be to remove the game plugin in SimTools v3. Then restart SimTools v3 and reinstall the plugin. This will re-patch the game for SimTools, and it should then work again.

You can use the port forwarding feature of the Forza Horizon 5 game plugin to send a copy of the data to the port SRS needs for the game to get both software's running. But I would get it working with SimTools first and then add SRS.
You can PM me if you get stuck buddy. :thumbs
    Take care!
