    It's not squeezing the GUI elements when you make the window smaller? Or are you trying to scale down the window size? What resolution is your monitor?

    Point noted, I'll add it in the next version :)

    My screen is 1920x1080, the app canvas does not recale in either full or smaller window.

    I'll take a look at the issue, I think I may have misconfigured something :p. I'll add it to my list of things to fix

    Alright, for some reason dropbox suddenly decided I don't get sharing permissions anymore, so I've put a drive link up in the original post for now until I can think of a more permanent solution.

    @RaceRay as SimCalc is such an invaluable tool for DIY builders can it possibly be hosted on Xsimulator.net, it is about 18.5mb zipped?

    That'd definitely make things easier on me haha. I recall I had problems uploading it to my post as an attachment, but if we can make it work then that'd definitely be the easiest option.

    http://take.ms/6OShr@Tim McGuire New home is here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/simcalc.184/

    Unfortunately i also was not able to upload the file from the forum system. Think it executed the max php upload limit and its too much work to overwrite it just for temporary reasons. So i had to upload it manually via FTP. If there are any update i have to upload them manually again. Alternatively if you like to upload it to github or any other "permanent" available source i can link it to there.

    Btw. I think there is something calculating wrong in metric mode:

    Imperial:

    SimCalc+Beta+2017-06-01+09.01.03.png

    Metric equivalent

    SimCalc Beta 2017-06-01 09.10.42.png

    The parameters are converted by me into their metric equivalents but the output force and Linear Travel differs totally from the imperial results:

    41 in/sec != 83 mm/s
    191 lbs != 10800 N
    3.5 in = 7 mm

    10800 N are 2427 pound force which is a little bit more;-)

    Hey René, it looks like your CTC length is just 5 mm. Did you mean 50mm or 63mm (about 2.5")?

    @Zed It's just for example. The length of the lever should not affect the correctness of the calculation

    First off thanks for uploading! Once my life calms down a bit I'm going to make a github page that you can pull from.

    As for the incorrect results, I think it's just stemming from my kind of clunky implementation of unit conversion. When you change the units, the values don't recalculate themselves, which they probably should, so if you input a calculation in mm, and then it gives you a result, and you switch back to metric, the units will change but the results won't... Good catch, I'll add it to my list of bugs to fix in the next revision!

    Just be sure to remember that the closer the motor mount is to the pivot, the harder your motors will have to work, so you'll need to use shorter levers to get the same effect. As long as you take all of this into account it should be fine!

    Hi all, just posting here to let everyone know that I'm not dead, and that I'm still working on the simcalc application. I've been busy over the summer with a large project, but you'll be seeing more of that in a separate thread soon. For those of you that are adventurous/mathematically-inclined, I've taken the liberty of writing an explanation of the mathematics behind the SimCalc application (It's a little lengthy but I plan to use it as a reference sheet for when I eventually get all of the source files on github).
