Hello all!! I am new to this forum and new to the idea of building a racing sim around the SFX100 platform.

I have been googling now for days, and just getting an idea for what I am in for. I am 100% committed to taking part in this project. Now is the time to source the parts and I am pretty excited to get started.

I am particularly interested in anyone here that has used the Trak Racer TR80 chassis as this is the chassis that I have had my eye on.

If anyone on my side of the ocean has any any tips, recommended suppliers for the parts, or alternatively suppliers to steer clear of, I would be very appreciative.

    Thanks in advance!!

As you would know getting your hands on parts Down Under is often hard enough, getting them at a reasonable price is even harder and generally takes lots of planning and involves long wait times, so make a parts list, post it here for member recommendations, and once your are sure everything is correct start ordering.

You likely want a @Thanos controller near the top of the list, as he does not always have them in stock, so there can be a wait list: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/amc-aasd15a-servo-controller.351/

Yes, I am hard at making a list now. I have many things to sort through and research. Good thing that it is a beautiful day and I have plenty of beers in the fridge!! I just have to watch that I do not have too many or else I will buy something stupid!! haha

My previous rig was built base on the 4080 profiles that's almost identical to the TR80. Worked perfectly fine with SFX100. I sold that rig and built a new one base on 30 series profile (cheaper and smaller) when I added TL and Surge.

A couple of rig on here seem to be using TR80 as well
