    Hi I found 750w servo motors for $ 150.00. I do not have experience in building YES, but I think this servo motor is a good option.

    Sorry to ask, but why such big motors for a 2DOF? Do you plan to move a really heavy rig?

    Big motor is one thing, 220V or 12V the other side. I made a good experience with the Arduino and the Monster Moto and my motors are really strong (each 750W). IMO less power is enough for a 2DOF approximately min. 300W a motor should have, depending the gear transmission and rotation speed.
