    AC motor, Motion platform
    I have built many motion systems over the years, some have worked fine others not so good. It has allowed me to try new things and weed out what works for me. If you enjoy the discovery and possibly of failure (cost+time) then keep going, if you just want to quickly get a working sim then there is nothing wrong with using known successful designs.
