I downloaded it some time ago when I first started getting into simulators, they had a demo version that you could try out (obviously not now). Unfortunately as I was not building that type of frame at the time - did not really use it. I've already done some what-ifs for my new rig in sketchup.

I would explain more, but for some reason the forum is slower than a snail to navigate or do anything on it when I'm logged in. Its like "someone" is trying to keep me from participating. That's OK. I have more important things to do instead of wait for the pages to load...

Anyway I have shared already all this information publicly to my blog, support forum and Dropbox file deposit I have open for everyone to see. Its all about DIY after all...

@SeatTime I think the platform and stuff will weigh around 20-25kg

I will get all the controls connected up tonight and try and get some testing in. It moves it all very easy without my fat arse on it so fingers crossed it will cope with me on it.

Hmm, not to be negative, but I think you do need those, otherwise the MM drives will keep burn out because of regenerative currents. Also you may need to install extra bypass diodes to redirect the extra current to the capacitors instead of the MM's and the power supply...
