    It's a great game that really hammers you if you are not constantly on your game - so realistic :D. So how does the Sim feel with the change in roll centre?

    I need to play more and learn the stages better and also listen to my co driver more lol

    Its hard to describe how much better it is but it is, I think the Pitch and Roll and Yaw make the most difference :) It also seems so much more responsive. Thanks to you dude ;)

    I'm not going to lie. This design has inspired me. I really want to get into this. I still need to evaluate cost/space/etc. I know earlier in the post, you mentioned not sharing the sketch, is this still the case, I would like to look in more detail to understand. Plus, its more ammo to sell the wife on! Great job!

    Yea, I knew you would like it and with the centre of gravity being lower, less inertia/load on the motors = more responsive.

    With no washout filters you end up implementing what feels best. At the moment my surge is implemented like pitch (not for long though :)).

    Do you have 900 degree turn in wheel? I use 540 because it's more stable and i don't have to turn wheel so much.

    Yes it's is but it feels better like that. It just feels all wrong when you brake and you move back.

    I think because it's limited movement it feels wrong because there just isn't enough inertia for the rig to push you out your seat when you brake. When the rig moves back all it does is push you back in the seat which is what it should be doing when you are accelerating. So that's why it feels better :)

    I have 900 yes any lower and I end up over compensating all the time. More stable at 900 rather than less at 540.

    @SilentChill What are the specs for the motors you are using? I am trying to get a baseline understanding of what is required to move something like this. I went through the whole thread and was unable to find it. I recently got my hands on some 12VDC wormgear motors. They are 50NM @ 133RPM (so I''m told)

    Do you have a picture of the motor or the full specs for it, ratio of the gearbox, watts/amps , The info on my motors are in my 3DOF build thread which is somewhere in the depths of the forum.

    Off the top of my head my motor specs are 1500rpm, 125w, 14.5amps, 15:1 ratio gearbox = 100rpm. Hope that helps somewhat :)

    That helps a ton. Just fired up one of the motors and the gearbox seems to be off. Its not perfectly coupled at the moment, so I am getting vibration fairly bad. This was lent to me from work and it was a prototype for some old jobs. Think I may need to see how they run when they have the better bear box. From what I can tell they are 2000RPM, 3.31NM with a 15:1 ratio gearbox. Sounds fairly similar to yours. I am looking at potentially using your design as my inspiration, so this makes me feel great! (until someone bursts my bubble)

    Prior to gearbox? Wouldn't that be 50NM? I probably worded it wrong
