That is awesome. When you get the time for a second video could you do flight/space sims? From your joystick setup I assume you have Elite: Dangerous?

Great work @SilentChill, no doubt a DC powered 6DOF can work well.

Have you considered mounting the Rift camera to the wall in front of the rig? You seem to be using fairly realistic rather than huge axis movements, so I suspect you would get away with a statically mount Rift camera. Worth a try at least

    Awesome @SilentChill ...
A very good, easy wooden frame design, cost effective 6DOF Simulator :thumbs .
The heave bouncing effect is clearly viewed by your head movement with Rift .:grin ...

    Just Awesome  .

Brilliant stuff. Great to see it working so well:thumbs. Makes me want to get mine up and going :p. You really don't need too much movement with the rift.

Hi @SilentChill tremendous achievement! As you say in your video we're all human, but it looks like some are more human than others. Well done, you're an inspiration.

Yeah, the video was a little boring as you elaborated to but nice nonetheless. :) But its great that some more of you are getting the chance to experience heave on your rigs these days! I haven’t been saying it’s all in the heave for over a year now for nothing and now you know why! :p

Btw I meant watching flight simulators can be a little boring, not that you were.

Nice to see the flight simulation, the lift off rotation looks especially good.

You seem to have random visual artifacts with the Rift in Prepar3D, I am guessing you have pushed the visual settings a bit too high.

Thanks for the second video. It definitely shows off the range of movement the sim is capable of.

@noorbeast yes I have not found a happy medium yet with the artifacts. Sure once Daniel starts with the p3D fly inside it will be all sorted :) It is alpha build after all

    Nice job, congrats.

If I may, what was the cost of this? And how much is the max load? Can it lift 3 medium LCD displays for example instead using the rift?
