    Hello,

I Have 3Dof (3 worm gear wiper motors-left / right / traction loss) motion simulator
and I found that right side motor is definitely warmer than others.

in every case right side motor is definitely warmer (+10 degree or more)
It works correctly and there is no issues but I am just worried about it.

Is it normal? Kindly answer me.
    Thanks

It is impossible to say what may be normal or the issue without a lot more detail concerning the design, execution like balance of the rig, hardware and SimTools settings.

Thanks for your answer. I uploaded photos.

Shifter-side motor (right side) is hotter in every case, it is hotter
especially in ets2 much hotter. but not super hot just hot. I can grab
the motor for long time without any hurt.

in other games such as pCARS and so on. temperature difference is
not very big as ets2 but it is definitely warmer.

    Thanks.

That chunky CSS is more than enough offset weight to play with your overall balance, Slap a pair of fans on the motor's and call it a day.

Is there ANY adaptability in the Pivot ?

    Hello,

I am newbie to simulator so I don't know (I bought this rig.)
WHETHER THERE IS ANY adaptability in the Pivot OR NOT.
sorry but I would be super happy if you let me know how to figure out it.

    additional question.
    1. any recommendation about fans for motor?
    2. I am trying to mount fanatec handbrake to CSS, will it be ok in your opinion?.

Thank you for your kind answer.
    it helped me so much.

Take a look at the pivot point from underneath, If there are channels or slots to move the upper frame, You could look into that.

motor fans can be simple 120mm 12v fans. Doesn't need to be anything fancy.

Mounting a Handbrake to the CSS itself is fine, But unless its a v1.5 I HIGHLY suggest mounting it on the same angle as you plan to pull it on, the Older version of the HB was very weak in this department.

Realize the more weight you add to the CSS, the more your balance is Out.

You can try change joint position to the front.

Also you can rotate rod-holder for upper position. In this case need make longer rod by unscrew rod-ends on both side of rod. But I don't recommend this step.

Oh, Now I find that there is nothing to adjust but height of legs can be adjusted.
but It was almost normal right side is little lower (less than 1mm). so I didn't touch anything.

AND I TESTED IT WITHOUT CSS - result was amazing. temperature is nearly same and even left side motor was slightly warmer. :)

So I found that problem is CSS !

I will get CSS 1.5 then, And I want to ask 1 more.

Do I need to do something for balance-out or slapping a fan to right motor is enough?

Ah, Will try this solution too.

So it means that I need to MAKE RIGHT SIDE (SHIFTER / WARMER MOTOR SIDE) ROD LONGER for balancing?

    Thanks!

No, rods must be same side on both sides.

Ah, but the rods are already same length, Thank you. :)
and I love the simulator. it is little bit hard to set. but I think
performance itself is super cool. love it!
