I have searched the forums a lot to see if there is a a way to get the shift light information in the profiler to be able to drive an LED shift light but no luck.

I am buying all the parts to run a servo based dash with RPM, speedo and water temperature. I would like to use one of the warning lights in the dash as a shift light. I am planning on using the Pololu micro maestro 6 channel servo controller to control the 3 servos. I have noticed that you can drive LEDs off the pins if you use them as digital outputs.

The only way I know rfactor has a shift light is on the ingame gear select, the number turns red when the max revs are hit.

Before using x-sim i have used simtools and simview has a SHIFT warning that comes up when the gear number goes red within in the game. So it looks like it is possible.

What I am after is to see the shift light in the inputs of profiler to be able to add the correct maths and outputs to drive the Pololu. AS I have not found it being pulled back in the standard rfactor plug in I thought I would go down the injector route but after much searching of the memory, all I have been able to configdently find is the current gear memeory addresses. I do not really want to use another plugin that I have to manually configure the RPM that I want the light to come on at.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction on how to get rfactor's shift light into the profiler?

    hi,
you must use velue 57.for exemple:your car make 7000rpm and red beginn on 6500
now you make in 57 minimum 6500 and maximum over 7000.

    Hi,

Thank you for your response. I hadn't thought of using the RPM value like that, that's a neat solution
