    Hi Guys..

    Back from holliday..
And there was a supprise for me when I was coming home...I thought my scn5's.... but not the scn5's but a speed ticket.. on the time when i was going to Nima (Niels) to test his simulator.. Most expensive simulator ride of my life €610 (850 dollar) (64km/h to fast)
Still waiting for my scn5's.. they are since 8 Feb at the customs office.. :thbd:

    Now back on building....

Do someone have a Logitech x540 surround set? I ordered a set but it is in backorder.. I want to know what the demensions are from the subwoofer without the standing legs.. want to make a frame for it..

    Thnks..

Tommorrow i will make a pic for you mike..

    Hi Ralph,

Sorry to hear about your speeding ticket. That is wildly expensive!

Regarding your shipment and the customs delay, something is very unusual. I have had other shipments clear the same customs facility in 1-3 days maximum. I would suggest that you contact the customs office to see if they require further information. A delay of this duration is not normal.

    Hi Ralph,

Nils told me few days ago about your ticket. Realy expensive, soory to hear that!
It´s the best proof that driving for some hours in a realistic simulator can blur the feeling of speed

Do you want to capsulate your actuators complete? When you do that, you should think about a cooling solution. After some hours of driving the actuators could become hot and shut down after a critical temperature.

I am also interested if your SNC5 holder reduce the noise of the actuator. That yould be a big advantage! So keep us updated

    Hi Ralph,

    Looks good.

Your customs office has had the package for 20 days now! Have they offered any explanation as to why? I have not been contacted by them. This is the first of many shipments that I have seen held in customs like this.

I look forward to seeng your sim completed.

I have to say, I'm a little concerned about the placement of the SCN5's on your design. They seem way too close to the pivot point. You'll get a lot of speed, but not enough power I think. You may be in danger of over stressing them.

Have you considered using SCN6's instead? They might be much better suited to your design.

Also, after looking at your holders for the SCN5's, you may run into trouble getting to the back 2 bolts at the top. Consider cutting large access holes (enough to get a hex wrench in) to ease installation.

All together it's a great looking design. I definitely see some Motion Pro II design cues in there...... :)

    thanks for the tips,
If you are looking to Nima's (niels) his old sim the scn5's are standing al most 90 degrees.. I tested his sim.. It was working realry great.. First i wanna test my design with the scn5's...(I thinks this week they will come) I'am just 60kg, I think that will be good for the power.

Let you know the test results..

The Design is a little from your Motion pro 2 and a little form this forum and a little from myself.. :)
