    Hi

So the MotionXP actuators, with 4 shafts, I want to have a go at making this style of actuator. I cant really find any useful info about this style.

I think its pretty safe to assume they're using a top-end mounted double bearing block with maybe LM12UU with maybe 90mm of space between the bearings x 4 in a square pattern.

It makes sense that the ballnut has a carriage attached, the 4 rod ends are fixed to this. At the other end the rods are fixed to another plate.

Actuator housing can be a "skeleton" frame, ballscrew mounted using an FK bearing block.

The main question is how best to fix the smooth rod to the carriage and rod end plate, there are gonna be 24 of these rods, hardened, so tapping 48 times ain't happening, I think friction fit and either drilling the rods and pinning or grinding a couple of flats on the rod ends and using grub screws, thoughts?

    Thanks!
