    Re: Nima's 6 DOF Simdesign

    Excellent!

I toyed with a similiar idea for acceleration and deacceleration, but discovered that it wasn't realistic unless I moved the screens as well. I've got some plans for a different type of screen that wont be able to be moved with the simulator, so I was unable to use the accel / deaccel axis. However, since your attaching your screens, this will turn out to be pretty cool!

Good luck with this project and keep us posted.

    Hi Niels,

I'm glad to hear that you are happy with your sim. How many rubber bands or bungee cords are required to make this work? I'm guessing that these are helping to make the SCN5's attain something nearer to 400mm/sec even though the load is increased?

Also, I must say for the record, that designing a simulator that breaks actuators when you crash is bit extreme. If I broke an actuator everytime I crashed learning a new track I would be bankrupt

    hi bernard,
i have many rubberbands now but i want more i have order 30 m again.
now is the crash feeling a littel lower but save.if i drive a new track i use a other
profil.the repair have only cost 5 euro.i mean the problem is the place were are broken wars not correct befor now i don't can have the same problem on this scn5.the place were are broke is now more as 10x stronger as the pin.if you have to many work on the scn5 the pin mast broke.
