I see you are running server PSUS, try turning voltage down to 12.5v if you can, not sure what volts you are running. I do recall Nick had to run volts down to stop overload of PSUs, I think it helped him get less errors in JRK maybe as well.

Yes Nick turned his up. Mine are running stock voltage, i believe 12.3.
Im not getting errors that i remember, just think im overloading supplies.
I will try taming profiles a bit later and play with boundaries. Thanks.

You can throttle the Jrks back a little too, instead of setting it to 0 for the amps set it to 30-35amps and test.
Should stop the Jrk drawing too much, profiles will help too.
Or you can use a Dc Battery in parallel with the power supply.

Jem's right, I was Upping the stock voltage Lowest i could get with the 1k ohm pot was 12.9 Topped out i could get it to sit at 13.6 but if you took a load like powering up the game it would Snap to life and pull too much and shut 1 or both down. Stock 12.3 for me has Yet to shut down, and I would say ive ran some pretty wild profiles and that mod track Joux Plane on Assetto is INSANE if you jump off the cliff or go rolling up the side of the hill. lol

Yeah I may have weaker psu's, or maybe mt driving is that much worse than everyone else. :p Ill straighten the issues out over the weekend, only get a random shutdown here and there.

I just bought Assetto, not sure what to think of it yet. Great game but it just doesnt feel the same as rf2 to me, just feels a little smoother or easier to drive maybe. I really love rf2 need to get the plugin issue fixed. Some have switched to xsim for that game, I just dont want to go down that path. Looks very confusing, and this sight has givin me great support.

Plus there is a noticeable lag in the other software's motion cues plus phantom movements they never fixed the plugin over there too.
Once we have our plugin coder back on board , I feel he will fix it in no time, Iracing issue had been sorted and is a simular issue so we do have a sort of fix for it.

Ok, been playing around with Assetto Corsa. Just needed a little time with it, it is a fantastic sim. Im dying for some more mods and content.

Now I gotta finish picking up all my teeth off the floor. WOW! You want to rattle your brain, take the Ferrari 312 around old Monza.

On a side note, still having issues with the one psu shutting down, the other ones been fine so it definitely looks like I got a weak one. Will have to order another.

Had a buddy over today, he's 270 pounds almost twice my size. It was a good test, sim was throwing him around like nothing! To see someone new on a motion sim is priceless. He was having a great time, swearing up a storm everytime he went off track. Great fun.

I also installed game stockcar 2013. I was a little hesitant about buying it with the newer sims out, but it turns out to be one Hell of a sim! Sounds, looks, and drives great. Also lots of content. If anybodys undecided about it, dont give it a second thought. Its well worth the money.

I actually spent a little time today doing a proper profile for it, and it was the most fun I have had yet.:thumbs

That is good to know that it can handle that weight. I weigh 275 pounds so I am building my rig extra strong.

Game Stock Car is probably my favourite some at the moment.

Thats a difference of 11 kg between 125 and 136 kg. I know my DC motor shoulder mount also moved my mate , and he is the range on 130 or so kg. My lever arms were only 15 deg back, not 30 like Robs would move a heavier person better.

Ok, been away for a while. My pc went down on me several months back. It was time for an upgrade anyways i guess.;)
Replaced mb with a gigabyte z77x-ud3h
8 gigs ripjaws 1600 meg ram
Intel 15 3750k overclocked on air to 4.3 with a hyper 212 evo cooler

This investment should make a large difference in fps compared to my old system. Last cpu bottlenecked with my gtx 780.

More news, I ordered an oculus rift dk2. Seems I ordered about a week to late as they have been shipping really fast recently, but it appears I may have to wait for the next batch to come in. Bummer.
Im very excited about the rift, as everybody whos played race sims with it has been blown away. And most of them dont have a motion rig.

Just got the new pc running, now I have to go back and re read my own thread to figure out how i got all this running in the first place.:p

    Ooooooohhhhhhh, playing on the rift!
    Bye -bye triples!
Can't wait for the consumer version to come out for a little higher resolution. Just can't play on a monitor anymore.

Bringing this back from the dead!

I took my sim apart a number of years back. Needed some room to redo the home theater in the basement. I stopped playing on it years ago as I was using an Oculus dk2 headset. I loved this setup, but it was tough to play with the low resolution, and no way was I going back to monitors. Fast forward 5 years and I picked myself up a quest 2. This is a phenomenal headset! I currently have it linked wirelessly to the PC, and am now itching to get started with elite dangerous. It just wasn't possible before because you couldn't read the text in VR. Everything is Crystal clear with the quest. I bought myself 2 vkb gladiator nxt flight sticks, now I need my motion and shakers back!

I will be rebuilding into a much smaller scale, as this setup is in my bedroom now. Unfortunately it's busy time of year for me, so not sure how long this will take me, but I'm excited to be back.

Ok, so I really need to downsize this, and this is along the lines I'm thinking. The blue line would be a bracket connected to armrests which would give me a connection point in the back above the center of gravity. The red line is my connecting rod from motor. I see no reason why this wouldn't work, while keeping things nice and compact, but I'm also not the sharpest tool in the shed. What do you experts think?

The most effective use of torque is when the rod, your red line, is at 90 degrees to the lever. For a compact design you want to maximise torque, as it is far more important than speed, so you want the greatest distance your compact footprint will allow from the pivot to where the rod joins the lever at 90 degrees. In other words flip the motor around and move it back as far as you are willing to go.

Have a play with SimCalc to help get your head around the tradeoffs in design Vs physics: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...e-linear-speed-and-forces-of-your-design.270/
