    Hello,

I have been reading the forums and am really intrested in building my own sim.

Budget is an issue so I would like to use wiper motors and cant decide on Thanos design or simforcegt type.

My biggest problem I cannot find any posts detailing frame design with plans..If I decide on the Thanos system I would want to use aluminium .. but cannot find any plans that show this method. also frame designs for simforcegt.

I really hope someone can help me.. I dont want to spend any money on circuits until I have the frame built!

    regards

    Omar

Aluminium is not exactly a budget friendly material to start with. :) Also, a simforcegt simulator requires far less materials than a joyrider type frame.

You can find ideas and good discussions in project topics. One of the general advices I gave before:
Make the base out of strong, heavy material -> Steel.
Make the critical parts of the moving frame out of strong and light material -> Aluminium
Make less critical parts out of light material -> Plastic, PVC pipes, Wood
Use steel wires where you can to pull the frame together for rigidity. Very light and very strong material, but you can only pull with it.

    Thanks for your reply Frakk..

I know aluminium isnt budget friendly.. but I wish the sim to look nice too! I am not keen on the pvc pipes..

I would like to go for the simforcegt.. but I am no engineer.. so would like to adopt someone elses plans.

I have looked at most of the projects on here.. they are all amazing... but usually show finished article.
