Addition: I can not add links to examples of what I'm calling power supply and adaptor. Can send via pm.

    Hi everyone,
First of all, I must say that I don't know anything about coding and electricity.

I've watched plenty of videos about DIY sim racing, but as I said I don't know anything about coding and electricity, so that's why I still have some questions. I'm asking you to clear things up on my mind.
    Here's my plan to do:

1_ Making a force feedback wheelbase with Arduino Leonardo. I'm not sure what to use as firmware but I think I'm gonna use MMJoy. (Btw, I'll probably do a 12V system.)

2_ 7 front and 1 rear shifter. (This will be connected to the same Leonardo.)

    • ACTUALLY, THIS IS WHERE MY PROBLEMS START. You'll see why:
    a) I don't want to do a basic/simple thing. I'll do a steering wheel with 10-12 buttons + 1 analog clutch + 1 digital clutch (using micro switch) + 2 paddle shifters + LCD screen and rev leds.
    b) A pedal set with individual rumble motors for each pedal (throttle, brake, clutch). (Maybe I won't do that and just make the pedals and connect them to the same Arduino inside wheelbase.)
    c) Due to my lack of knowledge about electricity; I'm afraid of using a power supply.

    • THE PROBLEMS:
    a) How's gonna games recognize the wheelbase and the steering wheel (which is using a different PCB) are just one controller/gamepad/joystick? I mean, how will do they able to work compatible?
    b) Same problem with ''a''. If I decide to use a different PCB, how it will work compatible with wheelbase?
    c) Do I must use a power supply? I mean, can I use an adaptor with appropriate values like a laptop charger? If no, then how much watt the power supply should be?

I will probably die if I use the regular power supply unit :D
As you can see, the main problem is I don't know how to make all the things work compatible with each other...

Before deciding anything about hardware or approach, if you don't understand coding or electricity, do plenty of research and then follow in the footsteps of someone who has already figured out the challenges involved, see the FAQs as a starting point: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steering-wheels.65/
